Transfer from Coconut Grove to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith at Adrienne Arsht Center

Our private hourly chauffeur from Coconut Grove to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith on October 9, 2026, runs in a Black SUV XL at a flat rate from $100 per hour, with a 5-hour minimum. Your driver collects you anywhere in Coconut Grove, handles the Friday-evening drive to the 7:00 PM show, and keeps the same car ready to bring you home, with no surge and no parking to locate.

How Much Does a Private Chauffeur From Coconut Grove Cost for the Patti Smith Show? 🚙

Each vehicle carries its own hourly rate, and every show-night booking runs a minimum of five hours.

  • Up to 5 passengers — Black SUV XL: $100/hour
  • 6 to 9 passengers — Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: $120/hour
  • 10 to 14 passengers — Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: $140/hour
  • Platinum SUV, 1 to 5 passengers: $140/hour

The rate books the vehicle and its chauffeur together for the whole block, so the figure never depends on how many stops you make or how far the evening wanders. A couple or a pair of old friends from the Horses days travels comfortably in the Black SUV XL. A book club or a larger circle of fans moves into a Sprinter, and the Platinum SUV class suits anyone who wants the most polished arrival on Biscayne Boulevard. Multiply your tier’s rate by the hours you keep the car and you have your total, before any evening surcharge.

Which Payment Options Hold Your Coconut Grove Booking? 📋

The full fare is paid up front, with three easy methods.

  • Accepted methods: card or Apple Pay through the secure checkout on the site, or a Stripe payment link sent to you on WhatsApp.
  • Payment: Full payment at booking secures your date.
  • Hours: The booking has a 5-hour minimum, and you can keep the car longer whenever you like. Every hour past that 5-hour block is simply added at the same flat per-hour rate, never a renegotiated fare, and it is settled after the night wraps up.

Which Facts Matter Most Before Booking Your Show-Night Ride? 📋

  • One private vehicle and one chauffeur stay with your party for the whole block.
  • Your chauffeur speaks English and Spanish.
  • You plan the stops and the pace, and the itinerary is never locked.
  • Onboard WiFi runs through a mobile hotspot for the length of your booking.
  • A brief comfort stop mid-booking is easy to request and never changes the rate.
  • Bookings run every day, daytime or evening, around the clock.
  • Every detail is booked and confirmed over WhatsApp before your pickup.

How Does Hourly Booking Work From Coconut Grove on Show Night? 🕴️

You reserve a vehicle and chauffeur for a block of hours, then shape the evening yourself.

Start by choosing the tier that fits your group. Then send the pickup address, a rough start time, and the places you desire to visit. On October 9, the five-hour block effortlessly covers an early dinner, the show, and the ride back. Your chauffeur arrives, stays with the group between every stop, and follows the route you set, so a detour to a bookshop or a longer dinner never needs a new booking. If the night runs long, just keep the car. Once the first five hours are used, each extra hour is added at the same per-hour rate, with no new fare to agree and nothing due until the evening ends. Pickup can be at any Miami address agreed at booking: a hotel, a home, Miami International Airport, or a PortMiami cruise terminal, so a cruise-day arrival can head straight to the show.

Where Does the Driver Pick You Up in Coconut Grove?

Your chauffeur meets you at any address in Coconut Grove you name at booking. That could be the lobby of Mayfair House, Mr. C, or the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, a residence along South Bayshore Drive, a home on one of the shaded side streets off Main Highway, or the docks at Dinner Key Marina. Share the exact spot on WhatsApp and the driver pulls up there.

Which Vehicle Fits Your Group Heading to the Arsht Center? 🚐

Four private tiers cover everything from a couple to a large circle of fans.

  • Black SUV XL: seats up to 5 passengers. It’s the natural pick for a couple or a small group of friends.
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: carries 6 to 9 passengers, so a book club or two families can ride together in one private van.
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: carries 10 to 14 passengers and keeps a larger group of fans together in one private van all evening.
  • Platinum SUV: seats up to 5 passengers for the most polished arrival. Reference Cars: Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition.

If you’re searching for a private shuttle to the show, this is it: a private van or SUV reserved only for your group. Tell us your head count and we match the tier to it. If someone is bringing merch, a tote of books, or anything large, let us know in advance so the right vehicle arrives.

Does a Night Surcharge Apply for the Ride Home After Patti Smith? 🌆

Trips between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM carry no surcharge. Trips outside those hours carry a surcharge that depends on the vehicle:

  • SUV (1-5 passengers): +$50 USD surcharge for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
  • Van (6-14 passengers): +10% surcharge over the hourly total for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

The night fee depends only on the pickup time: for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM the SUV adds $50 (vans +10% of the hourly total), once per booking. SUV bookings add one fixed amount per journey, and Sprinter bookings add a percentage of the journey value, exactly as listed above. The surcharge is added to the hourly total and doesn’t change the rate itself, and it is the only charge tied to the late hour. Your chauffeur, your vehicle, and your hourly rate stay the same after dark.

What Comes Included in the Hourly Rate? 🥂

Fuel, tolls, and parking are all built into every hourly rate.

That matters on show night: expressway tolls between Coconut Grove and downtown and any parking fee while the car waits near the venue never appear on your bill. The vehicle, its fuel, and the chauffeur’s time for the whole block roll into one number per hour. Only a few things can add to that, and you know each one in advance: the evening surcharge explained above and any hours you select to add. Changing the route mid-evening, adding a stop, or staying longer at dinner never means negotiating a new fare.

Why Ride With a Dedicated Chauffeur From Coconut Grove? 🍸

A private vehicle reserved only for your group makes for a better experience from start to finish.

Your bilingual chauffeur is yours alone for the evening and reachable directly on WhatsApp, so a change of plan takes one message. The flat hourly rate is locked when you book and never surges, whether Biscayne Boulevard is quiet or packed with concertgoers. One driver stays with the group from the first pickup to the last drop-off, so coats, shopping bags, and a freshly bought copy of Bread of Angels can stay in the car during the show. That continuity is what makes this a upscale service rather than a string of separate rides: the same face, the same clean vehicle, and a driver who already knows where you’re going next. Many guests have followed this writer for decades. They deserve to reach composed and leave without a scramble, and that is the better service we deliver.

What Is An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith? 🎤

Patti Smith brings an evening of readings, stories, and songs to Miami on Friday, October 9, 2026.

The Godmother of Punk comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County for a 7:00 PM show built around her new memoir, Bread of Angels. The Arsht Center presents it with Books & Books and the Miami Book Fair. Anticipate her to read, tell stories from a long life in music and letters, and sing, backed by her son Jackson Smith on guitar and her longtime bandmate Tony Shanahan. The evening falls somewhere between a rock concert and a book-festival headline event, staged in the Ziff Ballet Opera House, the center’s largest hall. The audience leans toward longtime fans who recall the Horses era and the CBGB years, along with readers who found her through Just Kids. Official details are on the An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith event listing.

How Long Does the Show Run, and How Many Hours Should You Book?

The performance is a compact evening rather than a marathon, so the base booking usually covers the whole outing. Five hours easily covers the pickup, the drive downtown, the performance, and the ride home, with room to spare. Planning a late drink in Brickell afterward? Keep the car and add the time.

Where Can You Find Ticket Prices or a Promo Code for the Show?

Ticket prices and any promotional offers come from the venue’s box office and its official listing, not from us. We provide the private car and chauffeur only, never tickets or packages. Our own rates are listed in full at the top of this page, so you can budget for the ride before you book.

How Do You Get to Adrienne Arsht Center From Coconut Grove on October 9? 🎭

A chauffeur typically heads north on South Bayshore Drive, then Brickell Avenue, toward Biscayne Boulevard.

That bayfront route is the natural way from the Grove into downtown. When it backs up, the driver can switch to US-1 and I-95, then follow I-395 toward the venue’s stretch of Biscayne. With light traffic it’s a short ride. On a Friday evening in October, though, commuters leaving Brickell offices and other downtown crowds share the same roads, so permit a real cushion rather than timing it to the minute. The blocks around the center fill up on performance nights. Museum Park and the Omni and Edgewater neighborhoods are close by, and the Kaseya Center further down Biscayne can draw its own event traffic the same evening. Your driver watches conditions on the day and adjusts the route, so the group can talk about the setlist instead of traffic.

How Early Should You Leave Coconut Grove for the 7:00 PM Start?

Plan to reach downtown well before 7:00 PM. Friday rush-hour traffic can make the drive slower than it looks, and arriving early leaves time to find your seats, browse the lobby, and settle in. Your chauffeur will suggest a departure time from your Coconut Grove address based on that day’s traffic.

Where Does the Driver Drop You Off at the Arsht Center?

Your chauffeur brings you to the drop-off point nearest the Ziff Ballet Opera House entrance, as close as access allows on show night. Curbside access can change with the evening’s crowd, so the driver adapts on the spot. If anyone in your group walks slowly, mention it in advance and the driver will aim for the easiest place to step out.

Can the Driver Wait During the Show?

Yes. Your chauffeur stays nearby for the whole performance instead of leaving, and coats, bags, and anything you bought stay safely in the car. When the show ends, message the driver on WhatsApp and the car returns to the agreed pickup point to take the group back to Coconut Grove or on to a late stop.

Where Should You Eat in Coconut Grove Before the Show? 🍾

Coconut Grove’s bayfront and village restaurants make an easy first stop before downtown.

Glass & Vine sits inside Peacock Park, with the bay beyond the tables and a relaxed early-evening feel. Le Bouchon du Grove, a longtime French bistro on Main Highway, suits a couple who desire a quiet meal before the music. Bayshore Club, near Dinner Key, works well for a larger group gathering over drinks and dinner before everyone climbs into the Sprinter. Literary fans might detour to Books & Books on Aragon Avenue in neighboring Coral Gables, the bookseller co-presenting the evening, to browse her catalog on the way. Book your own table. The car stays with you through the meal, and the chauffeur helps you keep an eye on the clock before curtain time. After the show, Commodore Plaza back in the Grove is an easy place for a late drink.

Can We Combine Dinner and the Show in One Booking?

Yes, and most show-night bookings do exactly that. The car picks you up in Coconut Grove, stays through dinner, takes you downtown for the performance, and brings you home afterward, all within the same hourly block. If you want a nightcap in Brickell or back in the Grove, add the hours on the night.

Is There Private Transportation From Coconut Grove to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith? 🚐

Yes. A private hourly chauffeur takes your group from the Grove to the show and back home.

Every booking is private: the car carries only your party, and nobody else joins along the way. That suits the crowd this show draws: longtime fans dressed for a night out, friends reuniting from different corners of the city, and readers who would rather talk about the book than circle a parking garage. Whatever you searched for, whether a car service to the Arsht, a private van for a book club, or a luxury SUV for a milestone birthday, the answer is the same: your own vehicle and your own driver for the whole block. Friends staying at different addresses in the Grove can be picked up one after another, since you set the stops. The answers below cover short-notice booking, bringing a pet, and how far the hourly service travels.

Can You Book From Coconut Grove Within 24 Hours of the Show?

Yes, whenever a car is free. A booking for a service within the next 24 hours is locked in and held just for you, with a driver and vehicle already set aside. On such short notice, a date change or refund can’t be guaranteed, so the evening runs as agreed. You can always add more hours on the night.

Can You Bring a Pet Along for the Ride?

Pets are not accepted; certified service animals are welcome with advance notice. Mentioning it early lets us plan the right vehicle and make the evening comfortable for everyone in your group.

Does the Hourly Service Travel Beyond Miami?

The hourly service stays close to home: Miami, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Wynwood, Little Havana, and the area around Miami International Airport, plus nearby areas up toward Fort Lauderdale. It’s a local, on-call service that stays around the city, so we don’t take these hourly bookings out to Naples, Orlando, or West Palm Beach.

Booking a Chauffeur for the Day vs. Stacking App Rides

Reserving one premium service by the hour is a different thing from opening an app every time you move. You hold a single vehicle and a single bilingual chauffeur for the whole block, the price is fixed before you start, and the car simply waits while you eat, shop, or take photos — no re-requesting, no surge, no stranger learning where you are headed each time.

By the hour with us App rides (Uber / Lyft)
One flat hourly rate, locked before you start A fresh fare every ride, surging 1.5×–4× at peak
The same vehicle and driver stay with you all day A different car and a stranger at every pickup
Your driver waits between each stop — nothing to re-book Re-request and wait at the curb after each stop
A vetted, professional bilingual chauffeur Whoever happens to accept the ping

Across a full day of stops, one reserved chauffeur usually lands below a string of Uber Black or Lyft Lux surges — and it stays a calmer, more premium service from the first pickup to the last drop-off.

Can I Reserve a Chauffeur From Coconut Grove for October 9? 🎊

Yes. Send your details on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm the vehicle and the pickup.

Share the number of guests, your Coconut Grove pickup address, a rough start time, and any stops on your wish list, such as dinner in Peacock Park, a bookshop detour, or a late drink afterward. We reply with the tier that fits, confirm availability for Friday, October 9, and send the secure payment link. Once your payment is in, your car and chauffeur are held for the night. If the group grows, or someone decides the occasion calls for the Platinum SUV, tell us before the day and we’ll adjust the booking. Once your tickets are in hand, you can settle the ride too. Then there’s nothing left to arrange on the evening itself except getting dressed and walking out to your car. Reach us directly below.

No. We only work with private transfers. The vehicle is reserved exclusively for you and your party, with no shared seating.

✈️ What happens if my flight is early, delayed, or canceled?

No problem. We track your flight in real time and adjust the pickup time when needed, at no extra charge.

🔁 And if my flight arrives early, is delayed, or canceled?

Send us the updated information as soon as possible, and we’ll adjust your booking while monitoring the new flight status.

📍 Do you offer meet-and-greet at the airport?

We primarily work with curbside pickup. Just send a message with your exit gate and the driver will arrive in a few minutes — usually faster than the traditional sign-holding service.

If you prefer the driver to wait inside the terminal with a sign bearing your name, add the Meet & Greet for US$ 40 when you book — available for airport pickups only.

🚘 How will I recognize my pickup driver?

The day before your trip, we’ll send you a message with the driver’s name, vehicle model, and license plate, along with detailed instructions for curbside pickup.

📞 What do I do if I can't reach my driver?

Don’t worry. We’ll send you a message as soon as your flight lands. If we don’t receive a quick reply, the driver will automatically head to the international arrivals hall. Wait there and we’ll find you.

⏱ How long does the driver wait after my arrival?

For domestic flights, we offer up to 60 minutes of wait time after arrival.

For international flights, the courtesy time is up to 120 minutes.

For hotel pickups, there’s a 15-minute grace period.

For port pickups, we wait up to 60 minutes past the agreed time.

⏳ What happens when a passenger takes more than two hours to leave the airport?

Two hours is the free wait for international flights. When your free waiting time ends, extra waiting is not automatic: your driver may text you an offer to keep waiting, but is not required to. If the offer is sent, the driver waits up to 10 minutes for your reply; if you don’t accept in that time, the driver may leave. If no offer is sent, the driver may leave once your free waiting time is over.

👜 Does the driver help with luggage?

Yes. Our drivers help load and unload your bags.

📦 Do you accept extra or oversized baggage?

The standard allowance includes one large suitcase and one carry-on per person.

Traveling with larger or additional items — extra suitcases, musical instruments, mobility equipment, or strollers? Contact us in advance so we can arrange the necessary space. An additional fee may apply.

🐾 Can I bring my dog or cat in the vehicle?

We’re sorry — pets are not accepted on any of our services. Certified service animals are welcome: please tell us in advance and we’ll assign a van for the ride.

🥤 Can I eat or drink during the ride?

We ask that you don’t eat during the trip. Only water in sealed bottles is allowed on board.

🚧 Can we make a quick stop during the ride?

With by-the-hour service, stops are included: the vehicle is yours for the hours you book.

🕒 Can I change my pickup time after booking?

Yes. The pickup time and other details (an extra passenger) can be changed until 24 hours before the ride, depending on availability. Within 24 hours of the ride there are no changes and no refunds — message us on WhatsApp and we’ll see what we can do. The travel date itself is fixed once booked.

💲 Are there additional charges beyond the quoted price?

No hidden fees: the quoted price includes the driver, fuel and tolls. Only optional extras add to it — the night-hours fee shown in your quote before you book, the optional Meet & Greet at Miami International Airport and the 4% processing fee on card payments made through the payment link. Driver gratuity is optional and at your discretion; it’s always welcome.

❌ What is your cancellation policy?

You get a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. Within 24 hours of the ride, the booking is non-refundable.

Note: any refund claim — including a driver no-show or another service issue — must reach us within 30 days of your scheduled pickup. Requests made more than a month after the ride date are no longer eligible for review or refund.
