Our private hourly chauffeur drives you from Miami to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith on Friday, October 9, 2026, in a Black SUV XL at a flat rate from $100 per hour, with a 5-hour minimum. One bilingual driver and one upscale vehicle stay reserved for your group from pickup to the ride home, so the 7:00 PM show starts without a parking search or a shifting fare.
You pay per vehicle, per hour, and your group size decides the tier. Each rate below covers the whole vehicle for the first five hours, not each seat.
Most couples and small groups of friends going to this show choose the Black SUV XL. It keeps the evening personal and easy to plan. Larger groups, like a book club, a circle of old friends or a family celebrating together, share one rate across more seats in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The Platinum SUV suits riders who want a more upscale cabin for a large night out. You’re paying for the vehicle and chauffeur for every booked hour, whether the car is moving or parked and waiting. We confirm everything in writing over WhatsApp before your date. On most evening bookings, the only add-on is the night surcharge explained further down this page.
Fuel, tolls and parking are all built into the hourly rate. The price list covers the car, the chauffeur and the running costs of your evening.
You won’t pay for a garage near the venue, for tolls on the way home, or for fuel at the end of the night. Onboard WiFi runs through a mobile hotspot, which helps when you’re pulling up digital tickets or sending photos to friends who couldn’t come. Pets are not accepted; certified service animals are welcome with advance notice. Only two things can raise the total: the night surcharge for trips outside daytime hours, and any hours you add to your block. You see the full breakdown in writing before you pay.
Daytime service from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM carries no surcharge. Trips outside those hours add the amount below for your vehicle type.
The night fee depends only on the pickup time: for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM the SUV adds $50 (vans +10% of the hourly total), once per booking. Plan on the surcharge if it applies. SUV bookings pay one fixed add-on per journey, while Mercedes-Benz Sprinter groups pay a percentage of the journey value. We tell you which one applies when we confirm your plan, so it’s already counted in the total you pay. The same rule applies every evening of the week because it depends on the time, not the event.
You pick a vehicle for your group size and reserve a five-hour minimum block. Then you plan the evening’s stops with us.
Send us your group size, a rough start time and the stops you’d like, such as a dinner spot, the show and maybe a nightcap. We confirm the vehicle, you pay the full fare to secure the date, and your chauffeur arrives at the agreed pickup on the night. After that, the evening runs on your schedule. You choose the stops and their order, and you can add a stop, drop one or stay longer as the night goes on. The car stays with you for the whole block, so jackets, shopping bags or a new book can stay on board between stops. On a show night, most groups plan the block around three things: getting to dinner without rushing, reaching the performance on time and getting home comfortably afterward.
Your driver can pick you up at any Miami address, and you agree on the exact spot when you book. It can be your hotel, your home, Miami International Airport or a PortMiami cruise terminal. If you’re arriving on a cruise that day, you can go straight from the terminal to dinner and the show.
You just keep it. Every extra hour after the first five is added at your vehicle’s same flat hourly rate, with no new fare to negotiate. Tell the driver on the night and carry on with your plans. You pay for the extra time after the day ends, either to the driver or over WhatsApp.
The evening is part concert and part literary event. It’s built around Patti Smith’s new memoir, Bread of Angels.
Frequently called the Godmother of Punk, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame poet reads from the new book and tells stories from a life she has also written about in Just Kids. She sings too, backed by her son Jackson Smith on guitar and her longtime bandmate Tony Shanahan. The Adrienne Arsht Center presents An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith with Books & Books and the Miami Book Fair on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Ziff Ballet Opera House. Much of the audience is longtime fans from the Horses era onward, along with readers and writers. Numerous like to reach early, spend some time in the lobby and keep the whole evening relaxed. A private car suits that kind of night: an easy ride there, and no scramble for a way home after the last song.
Plan a pickup that leaves plenty of time before the 7:00 PM start. Leave earlier if you’re having dinner first.
A Friday evening in October brings normal downtown traffic on Biscayne Boulevard and the causeways. The streets around the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County obtain busier as showtime gets closer. If you reach before the pre-show rush, your group has time to collect tickets, locate seats and settle in. Groups starting in Miami Beach, Brickell or Coral Gables each take a different route, and your chauffeur picks one based on that evening’s traffic. Because the car is yours for the whole block, arriving early costs you nothing. If you have time to spare, you can have a drink neighboring while the driver keeps the vehicle close. After the last song, the group walks out together and meets the same driver at the spot you agreed on during drop-off.
Your driver gets the group as close to the venue as access allows, usually at the drop-off point nearest the entrance to your hall. On a busy show night, curbside arrangements can change with traffic. Before you get out, your chauffeur confirms where to meet for the ride home.
Yes. Waiting through the show is what the hourly booking is for. Your driver stays nearby with the vehicle the whole time and can be reached on WhatsApp. When you message that you’re leaving, the driver pulls up to the agreed spot. You don’t need to open an app or request a ride when the lights come up.
Yes. One hourly booking covers a pre-show dinner, the performance and the drive home.
Most groups start with an early dinner and ride from the restaurant straight to the performance, so they never have to park a second time. Your chauffeur waits outside the restaurant while you eat, so nobody has to watch the clock over dessert or split into separate cars. If dinner runs long, the driver knows how long the ride to the venue takes and tells you when to leave. Groups leaving from a hotel or home frequently add a short first stop, such as picking up a friend in another neighborhood or grabbing flowers or a bottle for a celebration. With one vehicle carrying the whole plan, the night is a single outing instead of three separate trips. That suits an audience that came for the conversation and poetry as much as the music. Tell us your dinner reservation time when you book, and we’ll plan the pickup around it.
Midtown, Wynwood and the Design District are close to the performing arts district and good for a pre-show meal with an artsy feel. Brickell suits a polished dinner with skyline views, and Little Havana offers a lively table on Calle Ocho. In Coral Gables, book lovers can stop at Books & Books first. The driver can suggest places, but you choose and book the table.
A post-show nightcap is easy to add, since the car and driver are still yours.
A short evening of stories and songs like this one tends to leave people with energy to spare, and numerous fans want to talk it over before the night ends. Wynwood has late-night spots among its murals, Brickell has rooftop lounges looking out over the bay, and South Beach still has the classic Ocean Drive stroll late into the night. For a quieter drink and conversation away from the crowds, Coconut Grove is a good choice. Your chauffeur takes the group from stop to stop and waits at each one, so nobody has to decide who drives or how to split rides late at night. Drop-offs can be staggered too: one friend to Key Biscayne, another to Doral, and everyone else back to a Miami Beach hotel, all in the same booking and the same vehicle.
Choose the vehicle by headcount. There are four private tiers, starting with the Black SUV XL for smaller groups.
Every tier is a private vehicle reserved only for your group. It’s clean when it picks you up, and it consistently comes with the chauffeur, so you never drive. If your headcount changes before the date, message us and we’ll move you to the tier that fits. That way nobody is squeezed in, and you don’t pay for seats you don’t require.
Yes, completely. The Sprinter you book carries only your group. There are no other passengers, no fixed timetable and no stops you didn’t choose. The same is true of every tier, from the Black SUV XL to the larger Sprinter.
A private chauffeur makes the ride part of the evening. It’s a upscale service planned with the same care as the show itself.
The vehicle is reserved for your group alone, and your rate is locked at booking with no surge, however busy downtown gets on a Friday night. One dedicated driver stays with you from the first pickup to the last drop-off. You deal with one person and one WhatsApp thread, and you never have to explain the plan to someone new. A swift message to your driver can change a pickup spot or add a stop, and the same bilingual driver answers every time. For fans who have waited years to hear these songs and stories in person, the better experience is one where the ride fades into the background. That means a clean upscale vehicle, a calm ride to the show and a comfortable journey home while the conversation is still going. That is the better service we aim to deliver on every booking.
Yes. A private hourly chauffeur is the most direct way to obtain to the show from Miami, and the same car gets everyone home afterward.
If you drive yourself, you have to circle downtown looking for parking and pick someone to skip the pre-show drinks. A one-way drop-off leaves your ride home to chance on a busy Friday night. A car and chauffeur booked by the hour covers both ends of the evening with one vehicle, one driver and one agreed plan. It also answers the question most people start with, which is the top way to obtain to the show from Miami: you reach relaxed and walk out to someone you already know. The answers below cover what riders ask most frequently, from cost and timing to families, the areas we cover and last-minute plans. All the details, including the rates, are on this page.
Prices start with the Black SUV XL at the lowest rate and go up to the Platinum SUV and the larger Sprinter at the highest. Each is listed per hour at the top of this page.
This is a short evening built around stories rather than a marathon rock concert, so the show takes up only part of your booking. The five-hour booking easily covers pickup, a pre-show dinner, the show and the ride home. If you decide to stop for a nightcap, add hours on the night.
The evening mixes readings, memories and songs from a poet and punk pioneer, so it can suit older kids and teens who love music or books. Check the venue’s age policy for this show before you go. Families ride together in one private vehicle.
You don’t need a code to see or book the real rate. The hourly prices are listed on this page, and the rate you confirm over WhatsApp is the rate you pay. The easiest way to lower the cost per person is to fill more seats in one vehicle and share it.
This is a local, on-call service that stays around the city. We cover Miami, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Wynwood, Little Havana and the area around Miami International Airport, plus nearby areas up toward Fort Lauderdale. The hourly service doesn’t go out to places like Naples, Orlando or West Palm Beach.
Yes, if a vehicle is available. For a service within the next 24 hours, the date and time are locked in and a driver and vehicle are held just for you. On that short notice we can’t guarantee a date change or a refund, and the booking goes ahead as agreed. You can always add more hours on the day.
Reserving one premium service by the hour is a different thing from opening an app every time you move. You hold a single vehicle and a single bilingual chauffeur for the whole block, the price is fixed before you start, and the car simply waits while you eat, shop, or take photos — no re-requesting, no surge, no stranger learning where you are headed each time.
| By the hour with us | App rides (Uber / Lyft) |
|---|---|
| One flat hourly rate, locked before you start | A fresh fare every ride, surging 1.5×–4× at peak |
| The same vehicle and driver stay with you all day | A different car and a stranger at every pickup |
| Your driver waits between each stop — nothing to re-book | Re-request and wait at the curb after each stop |
| A vetted, professional bilingual chauffeur | Whoever happens to accept the ping |
Across a full day of stops, one reserved chauffeur usually lands below a string of Uber Black or Lyft Lux surges — and it stays a calmer, more premium service from the first pickup to the last drop-off.

Message us on WhatsApp with your group size, a rough pickup time, and your dinner or nightcap ideas.
We’ll reply with the vehicle that fits, how many hours your evening needs and whether the night surcharge applies, so you know every cost before you pay. Once your date is secured, we set the pickup plan on the same WhatsApp thread. That thread stays open through the show and the ride home. Fans coming from Coral Gables, Brickell, Miami Beach or a hotel near the bay all book the same way, and a couple gets the same care as a full Sprinter of friends. Booking the car early means one less thing to think about as October 9 gets closer. That leaves more attention for what matters: a night of songs and stories with an artist whose words and music have shaped generations of fans.
