Transfer from Miami Airport to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith at Adrienne Arsht Center

Private hourly chauffeur service from Miami Airport to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith at Adrienne Arsht Center on October 9, 2026, gives you a Black SUV XL and its driver at a flat rate from $100 per hour, with a 5-hour minimum. Your chauffeur picks you up at the arrivals curb or a hotel near the airport, fits in dinner, and gets you to the 7:00 PM show.

How Much Is a Private Chauffeur From Miami Airport for the Patti Smith Show? 📋

You pay per vehicle, per hour, and every booking is at least five hours.

  • Up to 5 passengers — Black SUV XL: $100/hour
  • 6 to 9 passengers — Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: $120/hour
  • 10 to 14 passengers — Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: $140/hour
  • Platinum SUV, 1 to 5 passengers: $140/hour

The rate covers the whole vehicle and its chauffeur, not each seat. A group of friends flying in together splits one hourly rate instead of each person paying a separate fare. Couples and small parties going to the Patti Smith evening usually take the Black SUV XL. Book clubs and fan groups traveling together tend to fill a Sprinter. The Platinum SUV suits a milestone night when the most polished cabin matters. Whichever tier you select, the price on this list is what you pay for each hour. The night surcharge explained further down is the only extra that depends on the time of day.

How Does Hourly Booking Work on a Show Day? 🚙

You book one vehicle and one chauffeur for a block of hours, and you set the schedule.

Booking starts with a WhatsApp message. Pick the tier that fits your group, share a rough start time, and list the stops you have in mind. Pickup can be any Miami address: a hotel, a PortMiami cruise terminal (a cruise-day arrival can go straight to the event), Miami International Airport, or a home. The exact spot is agreed when you book. From then on the car is yours. The same chauffeur stays with you for the whole block, and you decide where it goes and how long you stay at each stop. You can add a stop, skip one, or change the order on the day. When the five-hour block ends, you can merely keep going. Every additional hour is added at the same flat per-hour rate, with no new fare to negotiate, and you settle it after the evening wraps up. A long talk over drinks after the show won’t cut your night short.

What Should You Include in Your WhatsApp Booking Message?

Send your group size, the pickup spot, a rough start time, and the stops you’d like to make. If you’re landing at MIA on show day, add your flight details so the pickup matches your arrival. Mention any dinner reservation too, and your chauffeur will plan the time before the show around it.

What Kind of Night Is An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith? 🎤

It is part concert and part literary evening, built around Patti Smith’s new memoir.

On Friday, October 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM, An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith comes to the Ziff Ballet Opera House, the largest hall at the Arsht Center. The program centers on “Bread of Angels,” her new memoir. She reads from it, tells stories from a long life in music and poetry, and sings. Her son Jackson Smith plays guitar, and her longtime bandmate Tony Shanahan joins them. The venue presents the night with Books & Books and the Miami Book Fair, so it falls somewhere between a rock show and a book-festival headliner. That mix shapes the evening. The crowd comes to listen, likes to reach early, and often talks it all over with a late drink afterward. That’s where your own car and driver help most: nobody in the group has to be the designated driver, and nobody waits in a garage line when the lights come up.

Who Usually Fills the Hall for a Patti Smith Evening?

Much of the audience is longtime fans, many of them hooked since the “Horses” era or the early New York punk scene around CBGB. Readers of “Just Kids,” poets, and book-fair regulars fill out the room. Plenty of them travel in for the night, so one booked car from the airport suits them well.

How Do You Get to the Arsht Center From Miami Airport on Show Night? 🎭

Your chauffeur drives you across town, drops you near the entrance, and waits for you.

The drive from Miami International Airport to downtown is a simple journey across town, but Friday evening traffic is different. Commuters are heading home, showgoers crowd Biscayne Boulevard, and the streets around the performing arts district slow down as the start time gets close. A private car is most useful at that moment. You don’t circle for a garage, pay at a machine, or walk over in the dark. Your group gets out close to the doors and goes straight in. The chauffeur watches the traffic and changes the route when needed, so you can focus on the evening ahead. After the final song there’s no wait for a car and no debate over who drives. You send one message, the same vehicle comes back to the agreed spot, and the ride home, or on to a late meal, starts right away.

Which Route Does the Chauffeur Take From Miami Airport?

The usual route runs east from the airport on the Dolphin Expressway (State Road 836) toward downtown, then connects to I-395 and the streets beside the venue. If the expressway backs up on a Friday evening, your chauffeur can switch to surface streets through Little Havana. You never have to watch a map yourself.

How Early Should You Leave Miami Airport for the 7:00 PM Start?

Leave extra time and plan to reach downtown well before the 7:00 PM start, because Friday rush hour usually overlaps with the arrival window. Guests who want dinner first usually set a late-afternoon pickup. If you only want the show, a later pickup still works, and your chauffeur will suggest a departure time when you book.

Where Does the Driver Drop You Off at the Venue?

Your chauffeur drops you as close to the Ziff Ballet Opera House entrance as access allows that night, at whichever drop-off point is open. Before you get out, you agree on a pickup spot for later. After the show, finding each other takes one WhatsApp message.

Can the Driver Wait During the Show?

Yes, waiting is part of the hourly booking. Your driver stays nearby through the whole performance and keeps the vehicle ready for your group, not for other passengers. When the house lights come up, send a WhatsApp message and the same car returns to the agreed spot to take everyone home or out for a late bite.

Where Does the Driver Pick You Up at Miami Airport? 🚙

Pickup can be any address in the Miami Airport region, agreed when you book.

Most show-day riders are picked up in one of three ways. If you’re flying in that afternoon, the chauffeur meets you on the arrivals level outside the terminal at Miami International Airport, at the exact spot you both confirm on WhatsApp. If you’re staying overnight first, the chauffeur picks you up in your hotel lobby, whether the hotel is on the airport grounds or near one of the nearby expressways. If you live in Miami Springs, Doral, or another neighborhood near the airport, the chauffeur can pick you up at your door. In each case the hourly block starts at pickup, and the car is your base for the rest of the evening. If people in your group are landing on different flights, tell us when you book. We can plan the pickup so everyone is in the same vehicle before dinner.

Can You Land at MIA and Ride Straight to the Show?

Yes, if you land on show day you can go straight to the evening. Share your flight number and scheduled landing time when you book, and we set the pickup time around them. From the curb you can head to dinner, stop at your hotel to change, or go straight downtown, all in the same hourly block with the same chauffeur.

Where Can You Eat Near Miami Airport Before the Patti Smith Show? 🥂

Little Havana, just east of the airport, is the classic place for dinner before the show.

Versailles Restaurant, the landmark Cuban restaurant in Little Havana, is on the way from the airport toward downtown. It’s lively and welcoming, and it works well as a meeting point for a group arriving on different flights. Doral, on the west side of the airport, has plenty of restaurants if you’re staying out that way. Closer to the venue, Brickell, Midtown, and Wynwood have plenty of bistros and wine bars, so you can eat right before the doors open. This is a book-and-music night, and many fans also like to browse first. Books & Books, a co-presenter of the event, has its well-loved flagship in Coral Gables, and it’s worth a stop if your schedule allows. These are suggestions, not reservations we make for you. Book your own table, tell your chauffeur the time, and the car will be waiting outside when you finish.

Can You Combine Dinner and the Show in One Booking?

Yes, one hourly booking covers dinner and the show. A typical plan is a pickup at the airport or your hotel, dinner in Little Havana or Brickell, a drop-off downtown before the show, and the ride home afterward. Because the same car stays with you, you never need a second booking between stops.

Quick Facts Before You Ride to the Show 🎊

  • One dedicated vehicle and one chauffeur stay with your group all evening.
  • Your chauffeur speaks English and Spanish.
  • Bookings are available every day of the week, around the clock.
  • The vehicle has onboard WiFi through a mobile hotspot.
  • A quick comfort stop during the booking doesn’t change your rate.
  • Every booking is arranged and confirmed directly over WhatsApp.

What Does the Hourly Rate Include, and What Can Cost Extra? 🍸

Fuel, tolls, and parking are all included in the hourly rate.

That matters more than it sounds on a downtown show night. Expressway tolls on the way in from the airport, parking nearby during the performance, and every mile between dinner and the venue are already covered. Detours during the evening don’t add to the bill. The vehicle has room for a copy of the new memoir or merch from the night, and if you’re bringing something large, just tell us in advance. Two things can add to the total. The first is any extra hours you select to add on the day. The second is the night surcharge covered below.

How Does Payment Work for an Hourly Booking? 📋

You pay the full fare up front to reserve your date.

  • Accepted methods: Pay by card or Apple Pay through the secure checkout on the site, or through a Stripe payment link we send over WhatsApp.
  • Payment: Paying the full fare when you reserve locks in your booking.
  • Hours: The booking is a 5-hour minimum, and you can keep the car longer whenever you like. Each hour after that block is added at the same flat per-hour rate, never a renegotiated fare, and you settle it after the day.

Does the Ride Home After the Show Carry a Night Surcharge? 🌆

Trips outside 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM have a night surcharge that depends on the vehicle.

  • SUV (1-5 passengers): +$50 USD surcharge for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
  • Van (6-14 passengers): +10% surcharge over the hourly total for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

The night fee depends only on the pickup time: for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM the SUV adds $50 (vans +10% of the hourly total), once per booking. For the SUV the surcharge is a flat amount per journey. For the Sprinter it is a percentage of the journey value. We confirm it with your booking, so it won’t come as a surprise. Starting earlier with dinner first doesn’t change it. The surcharge depends only on whether the pickup is between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Group for Show Night? 🚐

Four private vehicle tiers cover everyone from couples and small parties to larger fan groups.

  • Black SUV XL: seats up to 5 passengers and is the usual choice for couples and small parties.
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: seats 6 to 9 passengers, a comfortable fit for a book club or a few couples together.
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: seats 10 to 14 passengers, so a larger fan group can arrive together in one private van.
  • Platinum SUV: seats up to 5 passengers in the most polished cabin we offer. Reference Cars: Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition

Every tier is private and comes with its own chauffeur, so you’re really choosing based on comfort and group size. For a Patti Smith night, a couple meeting friends off a flight will be relaxing in the Black SUV XL. A larger group, such as a book club or friends from a record store, usually wants a Sprinter so everyone rides in one vehicle and walks in together. If your group size changes after you book, tell us on WhatsApp and we’ll see about moving you to a larger vehicle.

Why Choose a Private Chauffeur Over Driving Yourself Downtown? 🕴️

With a private chauffeur, show night is one continuous upscale service from pickup to home.

The vehicle is reserved for your group alone. The same bilingual driver stays with you from the first pickup to the last drop-off, so you won’t see a new face at each stop or have to rebook between dinner and the show. Your flat hourly rate is locked when you book. It doesn’t surge on a hectic Friday downtown, and it doesn’t change for traffic or weather. You can send questions straight to us on WhatsApp before the night and during it, and a real person who knows your plan answers. Together, that’s a better experience than driving your own car, paying for a garage, and leaving one friend to skip the drinks. This evening is about listening closely and talking it over afterward. A peaceful, dedicated car is merely the better service for that kind of night.

Is There Private Transportation From Miami Airport to the Patti Smith Show? 🎭

Yes. A private chauffeur hired by the hour covers the whole journey from the airport.

If you’re searching for a private van or a car service from the airport to this show, this is what we offer: one reserved vehicle and one chauffeur for the day. Many riders fly in specifically for the evening and desire the journey to feel like part of the occasion, not a logistics problem. Others live near the airport and would rather not drive downtown on a Friday night. Both get the same thing: a car that’s theirs from pickup onward, a driver who knows the city, and a plan built around their own timing. Because the booking is hourly, the day can feature more than the show. A gallery exhibition in Wynwood, an afternoon at a museum on Biscayne Bay, or a walk through the Design District can all fit before dinner. The chauffeur takes you between stops and waits while you enjoy each one.

Which Parts of Miami Does the Hourly Chauffeur Cover?

The service stays local. It covers Miami, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Wynwood, Little Havana, and the area around Miami International Airport, plus nearby areas up toward Fort Lauderdale. It’s an on-call, unhurried service that stays around the city, so we don’t run hourly bookings to Naples, Orlando, or West Palm Beach.

Will Anyone Else Ride With Your Group to the Show?

No, every ride is private. Your vehicle carries only your group, and nobody else is picked up along the way, whether you book the Black SUV XL or a private van. If you’re looking for a private shuttle to the show, the answer is the same: a Sprinter reserved for your party, with its own chauffeur, for your whole booking.

Can You Bring a Pet Along for the Evening?

Pets are not accepted; certified service animals are welcome with advance notice.

What Happens If You Book Within 24 Hours of the Show?

Last-minute bookings are welcome, and your slot is locked in and held just for you. Within the final 24 hours, a driver and vehicle are already set aside for you, so we can’t guarantee a date change or a refund, and the booking goes ahead as agreed. You can still add more hours on the day whenever you like.

Booking a Chauffeur for the Day vs. Stacking App Rides

Reserving one premium service by the hour is a different thing from opening an app every time you move. You hold a single vehicle and a single bilingual chauffeur for the whole block, the price is fixed before you start, and the car simply waits while you eat, shop, or take photos — no re-requesting, no surge, no stranger learning where you are headed each time.

By the hour with us App rides (Uber / Lyft)
One flat hourly rate, locked before you start A fresh fare every ride, surging 1.5×–4× at peak
The same vehicle and driver stay with you all day A different car and a stranger at every pickup
Your driver waits between each stop — nothing to re-book Re-request and wait at the curb after each stop
A vetted, professional bilingual chauffeur Whoever happens to accept the ping

Across a full day of stops, one reserved chauffeur usually lands below a string of Uber Black or Lyft Lux surges — and it stays a calmer, more premium service from the first pickup to the last drop-off.

No. We only work with private transfers. The vehicle is reserved exclusively for you and your party, with no shared seating.

✈️ What happens if my flight is early, delayed, or canceled?

No problem. We track your flight in real time and adjust the pickup time when needed, at no extra charge.

🔁 And if my flight arrives early, is delayed, or canceled?

Send us the updated information as soon as possible, and we’ll adjust your booking while monitoring the new flight status.

📍 Do you offer meet-and-greet at the airport?

We primarily work with curbside pickup. Just send a message with your exit gate and the driver will arrive in a few minutes — usually faster than the traditional sign-holding service.

If you prefer the driver to wait inside the terminal with a sign bearing your name, add the Meet & Greet for US$ 40 when you book — available for airport pickups only.

🚘 How will I recognize my pickup driver?

The day before your trip, we’ll send you a message with the driver’s name, vehicle model, and license plate, along with detailed instructions for curbside pickup.

📞 What do I do if I can't reach my driver?

Don’t worry. We’ll send you a message as soon as your flight lands. If we don’t receive a quick reply, the driver will automatically head to the international arrivals hall. Wait there and we’ll find you.

⏱ How long does the driver wait after my arrival?

For domestic flights, we offer up to 60 minutes of wait time after arrival.

For international flights, the courtesy time is up to 120 minutes.

For hotel pickups, there’s a 15-minute grace period.

For port pickups, we wait up to 60 minutes past the agreed time.

⏳ What happens when a passenger takes more than two hours to leave the airport?

Two hours is the free wait for international flights. When your free waiting time ends, extra waiting is not automatic: your driver may text you an offer to keep waiting, but is not required to. If the offer is sent, the driver waits up to 10 minutes for your reply; if you don’t accept in that time, the driver may leave. If no offer is sent, the driver may leave once your free waiting time is over.

👜 Does the driver help with luggage?

Yes. Our drivers help load and unload your bags.

📦 Do you accept extra or oversized baggage?

The standard allowance includes one large suitcase and one carry-on per person.

Traveling with larger or additional items — extra suitcases, musical instruments, mobility equipment, or strollers? Contact us in advance so we can arrange the necessary space. An additional fee may apply.

🐾 Can I bring my dog or cat in the vehicle?

We’re sorry — pets are not accepted on any of our services. Certified service animals are welcome: please tell us in advance and we’ll assign a van for the ride.

🥤 Can I eat or drink during the ride?

We ask that you don’t eat during the trip. Only water in sealed bottles is allowed on board.

🚧 Can we make a quick stop during the ride?

With by-the-hour service, stops are included: the vehicle is yours for the hours you book.

🕒 Can I change my pickup time after booking?

Yes. The pickup time and other details (an extra passenger) can be changed until 24 hours before the ride, depending on availability. Within 24 hours of the ride there are no changes and no refunds — message us on WhatsApp and we’ll see what we can do. The travel date itself is fixed once booked.

💲 Are there additional charges beyond the quoted price?

No hidden fees: the quoted price includes the driver, fuel and tolls. Only optional extras add to it — the night-hours fee shown in your quote before you book, the optional Meet & Greet at Miami International Airport and the 4% processing fee on card payments made through the payment link. Driver gratuity is optional and at your discretion; it’s always welcome.

❌ What is your cancellation policy?

You get a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. Within 24 hours of the ride, the booking is non-refundable.

Note: any refund claim — including a driver no-show or another service issue — must reach us within 30 days of your scheduled pickup. Requests made more than a month after the ride date are no longer eligible for review or refund.
