Our private hourly chauffeur drives you from Downtown Miami to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith at Adrienne Arsht Center on Friday, October 9, 2026, in a Black SUV XL at a flat rate from $100 per hour with a 5-hour minimum. Your driver stays with you from pickup through the 7:00 PM show and the ride home, with the fare locked at booking and no surge.
You pay one flat hourly rate for the whole vehicle, and every booking covers at least five hours of chauffeured time.
The rate is charged for the car, not for each passenger. A couple in the SUV pays one hourly figure for their vehicle, and so does a book club filling a Sprinter. That minimum block suits this evening well. It leaves room for a relaxed dinner in Downtown Miami, the ride up the bay, the full performance and the drive back, without anyone watching the clock. If you start in the late afternoon, dinner, the show and the ride home all fit inside the same booking. Choose the tier that fits your group, and the price for your reserved hours is set from the start. Trips outside daytime hours add the evening surcharge explained further down this page. The vehicle guide below helps you match a tier to your headcount.
Four private tiers cover every group size, from a couple’s night out to a large group of fans.
The reference cars show the class of vehicle in the Platinum tier. They are not a promise of one specific model. Every tier comes with its own chauffeur, and no vehicle is ever split with another party. If your group falls between two sizes, send your headcount on WhatsApp and we’ll suggest the tier that seats everyone comfortably.
Paying the full fare at booking reserves the car.
The hourly rate covers the vehicle, your chauffeur’s time and every running cost of the car for the whole block.
Waiting time is part of the same rate. If dinner runs long or the show has an encore, there is no separate waiting charge. You won’t obtain a garage receipt or a list of tolls at the end of the night. Onboard WiFi runs through a mobile hotspot, which helps when you pull up digital tickets on the way up Biscayne Boulevard or send photos home afterward. A few extras can apply, and each one is clear up front:
Nothing else is added to the bill, so the total you agree on is the total you pay.
A private chauffeur makes show night one seamless evening, with no rides or parking to sort out.
Your vehicle is reserved for your group alone. No strangers ride along, and nobody searches for a car when the house lights come up. Your bilingual chauffeur is the same person from the first pickup to the last drop-off, so jackets, shopping bags and anything you buy in the lobby can stay in the car. The hourly rate is locked when you book. It does not surge on a hectic Friday night, whatever the traffic or weather along the bay. You message your chauffeur directly on WhatsApp, so a change of plan takes one swift text: a later dinner table, one more stop or a friend joining at the last minute. We build every booking around upscale service: fewer moving parts, more time with the people you came with, and a better experience from the moment you leave your lobby.
You choose a vehicle, reserve a block of hours, and one chauffeur stays with you the whole time.
Start with your headcount and pick the tier that fits. The minimum block is five hours, and you can place it wherever it works top for your evening. You might begin with dinner, or with drinks at home before heading out. The driver picks up at any Miami address: a hotel, a PortMiami cruise terminal (a cruise-day arrival can go straight to the show), Miami International Airport or a home. You agree the pickup spot when you book. From there, you choose the stops and their order. The chauffeur stays with your group for the full block and waits at the venue through the performance. Nobody in your party has to drive, park or open a ride app. When the night is over, the same car takes each guest home, even if everyone lives at a different address.
Tell your chauffeur and the car stays with you. After the five-hour block, each extra hour is added at your vehicle’s same per-hour rate, never a renegotiated fare. You settle it afterward, with the driver or over WhatsApp, once the night ends. A late supper in Brickell or a nightcap on Miami Beach fits in easily.
Trips outside daytime hours (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) carry a surcharge based on vehicle size.
For the SUV, the surcharge is one fixed charge per trip. For the Sprinter, it is a percentage of the trip value. The list above has the only figures involved. Daytime hours carry no surcharge at all. The night fee depends only on the pickup time: for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM the SUV adds $50 (vans +10% of the hourly total), once per booking. You could spend the afternoon at the Pérez Art Museum Miami in Museum Park, have dinner by the bay, then see the show. If you desire a nightcap afterward, the surcharge is simply part of the plan, and we confirm it with your booking. It will not come as a surprise at the end of the night. Everything else stays the same after dark: the same car, the same driver and the same attentive service.
The evening mixes readings, stories and songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist, in a close, attentive setting.
The show is built around her new memoir, Bread of Angels. It moves between readings, stories that run from the early New York punk scene to her National Book Award–winning Just Kids, and songs. Her son Jackson Smith plays guitar alongside her longtime bandmate Tony Shanahan. The Adrienne Arsht Center presents the show with Books & Books and the Miami Book Fair. It plays the Ziff Ballet Opera House at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 9, 2026. Anticipate an attentive, seated crowd rather than a mosh pit. Longtime fans who wore out their copies of Horses sit beside readers who found her through her books. The mood is closer to a literary festival headliner than an arena tour, and the evening goes well with dinner beforehand and a quiet drink afterward. Event details are posted on the An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith event page.
The show is shorter than a typical full rock concert. It is a single, focused set of readings and songs. That helps on an hourly booking: a five-hour block easily holds dinner in Downtown Miami, the full show, some time in the lobby afterward and the ride home.
Your chauffeur typically drives straight up Biscayne Boulevard. It is a short trip, but permit extra time on show night.
The performing arts campus sits just north of Downtown Miami, where the boulevard meets the Omni and Edgewater neighborhoods, so the drive is short on paper. A Friday show changes that. Office traffic, dinner crowds heading to Brickell and Wynwood, and a full opera house all reach along the bay at the same time. Your driver watches the traffic and can switch to parallel streets such as North Miami Avenue or NE 2nd Avenue if the boulevard backs up. The campus sits on both sides of Biscayne Boulevard, so the chauffeur approaches on the side of the Ziff Ballet Opera House, not the concert hall across the street. The car stays with you from pickup to the ride home, so there is nothing to arrange after the show. Your group walks out and meets the driver.
Leave with plenty of time before the 7:00 PM start, and allow extra for Friday traffic on Biscayne Boulevard and a busy drop-off lane. Arriving early gives you time to pick up tickets, browse the lobby and find your seats calmly. Your chauffeur suggests a departure time based on your pickup point and dinner plans.
Your chauffeur drops you as close to the entrance as access allows, following the venue’s traffic arrangements for show night. You step out at the drop-off point and walk in, with no garage, no parking ticket and no circling the block. Before you go inside, your driver confirms the meeting spot for after the show by WhatsApp.
Yes. Waiting through the performance is part of every hourly booking. Your chauffeur keeps the car nearby for the whole show and can be reached on WhatsApp. When the last song ends, you send a message, walk to the agreed spot and head home or on to a late dinner. You never have to compete with the crowd for a ride.
Downtown Miami and nearby Brickell have plenty of dinner options close to the venue.
Bayside Marketplace has waterfront tables right on Biscayne Bay, a relaxed choice if your group wants a view before the show. A little to the south, the restaurant streets around Mary Brickell Village and Brickell City Centre suit a more polished meal before the theater. If you have time to spare, you could start the afternoon at the Books & Books flagship store in Coral Gables, since the store co-presents the evening. Then head back toward the bay for dinner. After the show, the Design District and Wynwood are close by for a nightcap. The same chauffeur drives you between stops and waits at each one. Nobody hunts for parking, calls for a car or watches the clock between courses. You finish dessert, step outside, and the car is there. These are only suggestions for your booked hours, and you create your own reservations.
Yes, and that is exactly what the hourly format is for. Book a single block, start with dinner in Downtown Miami or Brickell, ride to the show, and keep the car for the trip home. The same vehicle and chauffeur cover every leg, so one booking covers the whole evening.
Your chauffeur picks you up at any address in Downtown Miami that you agree on when you book.
That can be the lobby of a bayfront hotel such as the InterContinental Miami or the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. It can also be the front drive of a residential tower on Biscayne Boulevard, or an office on Flagler Street if you are coming straight from work. If you reach at PortMiami by cruise on the same day, your driver can meet you at the terminal next to Downtown and take you on to dinner and the show. Send the exact spot on WhatsApp, such as the hotel’s main entrance, a building’s side door or a specific corner. The driver arrives there, so your group steps from the lobby straight into the car. If your party is staying in different buildings around Bayfront Park or Brickell, the chauffeur can collect everyone one by one before heading north to the show.
Yes. Our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter tiers carry larger groups together in one private van, reserved only for your party. Everyone rides from the same Downtown pickup, arrives together and leaves together. That is far easier than coordinating several cars after the show lets out. Every van comes with its own chauffeur for the whole block.
Yes. This is a local, on-call service that stays in Miami and the nearby neighborhoods.
Your chauffeur covers:
That region suits an evening like this one: dinner in one neighborhood, the show in another and a nightcap somewhere else, with the same car close by. Staying local keeps the driver unhurried and on call for your group all night, rather than away on a long highway drive. Farther destinations such as Naples, Orlando or West Palm Beach are not part of this hourly service, so the plan stays in the city. For a Friday night at the opera house, that is where your evening is anyway.
Pets are not accepted; certified service animals are welcome with advance notice.
Yes, you can still book. Once the day and time are agreed, your slot is locked in and held just for you. In the final 24 hours a driver and vehicle are already set aside for your group, so the booking runs as agreed. On such short notice we can’t guarantee a date change or a refund. You can always add more hours on the day.
Reserving one premium service by the hour is a different thing from opening an app every time you move. You hold a single vehicle and a single bilingual chauffeur for the whole block, the price is fixed before you start, and the car simply waits while you eat, shop, or take photos — no re-requesting, no surge, no stranger learning where you are headed each time.
| By the hour with us | App rides (Uber / Lyft) |
|---|---|
| One flat hourly rate, locked before you start | A fresh fare every ride, surging 1.5×–4× at peak |
| The same vehicle and driver stay with you all day | A different car and a stranger at every pickup |
| Your driver waits between each stop — nothing to re-book | Re-request and wait at the curb after each stop |
| A vetted, professional bilingual chauffeur | Whoever happens to accept the ping |
Across a full day of stops, one reserved chauffeur usually lands below a string of Uber Black or Lyft Lux surges — and it stays a calmer, more premium service from the first pickup to the last drop-off.

Yes. Send your plans on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm your chauffeur for the Patti Smith evening.
Send us your group size, a rough start time, your pickup address in Downtown Miami and the stops you’d like, such as dinner, the show and maybe a nightcap afterward. We reply with the tier that fits, confirm the plan and send the secure payment link to hold your date. Friday show nights bring crowds to the boulevard, so check availability early for October 9 to obtain the vehicle your group prefers. Send every question about the evening to the same WhatsApp thread, whether it is how early to leave, which dinner spot suits your group or where to meet after the last song. That way the whole night is planned in one conversation. On the day, your chauffeur arrives at the agreed spot and stays with you for the whole evening.
