Our private hourly chauffeur takes your group from PortMiami to An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith at Adrienne Arsht Center on Friday, October 9, 2026, in a Black SUV XL at a flat rate from $100 per hour, with a 5-hour minimum. Your bilingual driver picks you up anywhere in PortMiami, gets you downtown well before the 7:00 PM start, and keeps the same car ready for the ride home.
Each vehicle has its own hourly rate, and every booking has a five-hour minimum.
You pay for the vehicle for the whole evening, not for each stop. An early dinner in Brickell, a slow loop along the bay, and the ride home after the last song all fall under the same hourly figure. Select by group size first and by mood second. The Black SUV XL suits a couple or a few close friends. The two Mercedes-Benz Sprinter tiers keep a bigger group of fans together in one cabin. The Platinum SUV adds a polished, executive-style finish for a milestone night out. Payment details are further down the page, so everything you need to know is visible before you confirm.
Yes. Our private chauffeur drives your group from PortMiami to Patti Smith’s October 9 show.
The evening starts at 7:00 PM at Adrienne Arsht Center and is presented with Books & Books and the Miami Book Fair. The event listing for An Evening of Songs and Stories With Patti Smith describes it as part concert, part literary night, built around her new memoir, Bread of Angels. A show like this is top enjoyed after a peaceful arrival. When you book by the hour, the car belongs to your group from the moment you leave the port until you’re back at your hotel or front door, with the same chauffeur driving all night. Nobody circles downtown looking for a garage, nobody gets split into separate cars, and nobody has to skip a toast because they’re driving home. The night stays about the music and the stories.
This is an intimate evening of readings, stories, and songs, not a full-volume rock set. Patti Smith is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame poet, often called the Godmother of Punk. She shares stories from her life and sings, joined by her son Jackson Smith on guitar and her longtime bandmate Tony Shanahan. Fans of Just Kids and the Horses era will feel right at home.
The audience leans toward longtime fans and serious readers: people who found her records in the CBGB years, book lovers drawn in by her memoirs, and friends who have followed her work for decades. Many come as couples or small groups marking a special night out. That’s the kind of party one private vehicle keeps together from the first pickup to the last drop-off.
Your chauffeur meets you at any spot in PortMiami that you agree on when you book.
Most PortMiami riders are coming off a cruise or meeting friends at the port, so pickup is usually at the ground-transportation curb outside your cruise terminal. You can also start somewhere else. The driver picks up at any Miami address, including a hotel lobby in Brickell or downtown, Miami International Airport, or a private home. You agree on the exact spot when you book, so nobody ends up searching a busy curb. Send the terminal name or address on WhatsApp with your group size and a rough start time, and your chauffeur arrives in the vehicle you reserved. The car is yours for the whole block, so you can load up, settle in, and decide right there whether to head straight downtown or stop for a meal first. There’s no second car to call and nothing to coordinate between stops.
Yes. On the day your cruise ends, you can ride straight into the event, because the same driver stays with you the whole day. Start the block when you step off the ship. Fill the afternoon with lunch, a hotel check-in, or a slow drive around the city, and the chauffeur brings everyone to the performance in the evening.
Pets are not accepted; certified service animals are welcome with advance notice.
The chauffeur drives your group from PortMiami into downtown Miami along Biscayne Boulevard.
The trip is typically short, but Friday evening traffic downtown is hard to predict. Commuters head north, diners fill Bayside and Brickell, and a separate event at Kaseya Center can crowd the same stretch of Biscayne Boulevard. So the plan for show night comes down to three things: leaving early, getting dropped as close to the entrance as access allows, and having a driver neighboring for the ride home. Your chauffeur follows traffic as you go and can switch routes before a slowdown affects you. Because you’ve booked the car by the hour instead of for one trip, arriving early costs you nothing. A quiet drink neighboring before the performance is simple when your ride is already waiting. The notes below cover the route, when to leave, and how drop-off and pickup work on the night.
Most evenings the chauffeur crosses the Port Boulevard bridge onto Biscayne Boulevard, then heads north past Bayside Marketplace, Kaseya Center, and Museum Park to the performing arts district. If that stretch backs up, the PortMiami Tunnel to the MacArthur Causeway and I-395 approaches from the north side of downtown. Your driver takes whichever route is moving better that night.
Leave plenty of time. Heading out of PortMiami well before 7:00 PM gives you time to find your seats, look around the lobby, and settle in before the lights go down. The drive is typically brief, but Friday traffic downtown and a full house arriving at once can stretch it. Your chauffeur will suggest a departure time based on conditions that evening.
The chauffeur drops you as close to the entrance as access allows on show night. The center’s halls sit on both sides of Biscayne Boulevard. This show is listed for the Ziff Ballet Opera House, so check your ticket and the driver will head for that side. During the performance, your driver stays nearby with the vehicle and doesn’t leave. When the show lets out, you meet at a pickup point you’ve agreed on, and you can message the driver directly on WhatsApp. You won’t wait in a pickup line or hunt for a car in a garage.
Bayside Marketplace, Brickell, and Museum Park are all simple stops before the show when you start from PortMiami.
Bayside Marketplace is just across the Port Boulevard bridge, which makes a waterfront drink or early bite there the natural first stop for a group coming off the port. Brickell, a short hop south, has a dense stretch of restaurants and rooftop bars for a proper sit-down dinner. For a group that loves art and ideas as much as music, the Pérez Art Museum Miami in Museum Park overlooks the bay near the performing arts district. A literary-minded group could even start the afternoon at Books & Books in Coral Gables, the bookseller co-presenting the evening. On an hourly booking, the same driver takes you between these stops and waits at each one, so you don’t have to think about parking or keep checking the clock. These are ideas for your booked hours. We don’t reserve tables or tickets, but your chauffeur knows the routes between them.
Yes. Dinner and the show fit easily into one hourly booking. Many groups start in the late afternoon so an unhurried meal in Brickell or at Bayside, the performance, and the ride home all fit in the same block, with the same car and chauffeur. You reserve your own table, and the driver has the vehicle ready when you finish eating.
You reserve a vehicle and driver for a block of hours, then set the plan yourself.
Start by choosing the vehicle that fits your group. Then send your PortMiami pickup spot, a rough start time, and the stops you’d like to create over WhatsApp. On the day, the chauffeur arrives in the reserved vehicle and stays with your group for the whole block, through dinner, the performance, a nightcap, and the ride home, while you decide the order and the pace. You can add a stop, drop one, or stay longer somewhere you like. Every booking starts with a 5-hour block. If the evening runs long, each extra hour after that block is merely added at the same flat per-hour rate. The fare is never renegotiated and there’s nothing to haggle over at the curb. Keep the car as long as you want, and settle the extra hours after the day is over. The plan follows your group, not a fixed schedule.
A private vehicle reserved only for your group makes show night a better experience.
The car is never shared. Nobody else gets in, and the cabin is yours for talking about the setlist or for a quiet ride home after an emotional encore. Your chauffeur is bilingual, so everyone in a mixed group can talk with the driver effortlessly. The flat hourly rate is locked when you book, with no surge on a busy Friday downtown and no change for traffic or weather. One dedicated driver covers the whole block, so you have one name, one vehicle, and one direct WhatsApp line for the whole evening instead of a series of strangers. That continuity is what makes this a upscale service. The driver learns your plan, remembers who gets dropped where at the end of the night, and has the car ready when you want it. When the show feels this personal, better service means you stop thinking about logistics.
You pay the full fare at booking by card or Apple Pay through the secure checkout on the site, or through a Stripe payment link.
The hourly rate covers your private vehicle, your chauffeur, and the driving all evening.
Fuel, tolls, and parking are included in the rate. You never feed a meter downtown, pay a garage attendant, or split a toll receipt. The time your chauffeur spends waiting between stops is part of the block you reserved, not a separate charge. A few extras can apply, and it’s better to know them up front. Trips outside daytime hours carry the night surcharge explained in the next section. Any hours you add are billed as described in the payment section, at your vehicle’s own rate. Nothing else gets added after the fact. What you agree to on WhatsApp is what the evening costs, so you can plan dinner, the show, and the ride home without surprises.
Yes. Trips outside daytime hours (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) carry a night surcharge. The amount depends on the vehicle type, as listed below.
The SUV surcharge is a fixed amount per trip. The Sprinter surcharge is a share of the trip value. Both are confirmed when you book, so there’s no surprise charge at the end of the night. It’s also simple to plan around. The night fee depends only on the pickup time: for pickups between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM the SUV adds $50 (vans +10% of the hourly total), once per booking.
If the performance ends and your chauffeur has you home before the 6:00 PM cutoff, there’s no surcharge.
We have four private vehicle tiers, from a couple on a date night to a full group of friends.
Pick the smallest tier that seats everyone comfortably, then upgrade if the night calls for it. The Platinum SUV is a sought-after choice for an anniversary or a first time seeing a longtime hero live. If you’re carrying anything large, like a garment bag for a change after dinner or an armful of merch and books from the lobby, tell us in advance so we can match the right vehicle.
Yes. A booking made within the final 24 hours is locked in and held just for you. Once the day and time are agreed, a driver and vehicle are set aside for your group. On that short notice we can’t guarantee a date change or a refund, so the booking goes ahead exactly as agreed.
That certainty comes with flexibility on the night itself. You can keep adding hours on top of what you reserved, right on the day, at the same hourly rate, whether dinner runs long or the group wants one more stop after the encore. Because the performance has a fixed date, most fans merely book their block as soon as their tickets are confirmed, then adjust stops and timing with the chauffeur over WhatsApp as the evening comes together. A late booking still gets the same vehicle, the same full block, and the same attention as one made weeks ahead.
Yes. This hourly chauffeur stays local, working around Miami and neighboring neighborhoods. It covers Miami, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Wynwood, Little Havana, and the area around Miami International Airport, plus neighboring areas up toward Fort Lauderdale.
Staying close to the city is what lets the driver stay on call and ready at every stop instead of disappearing on a long highway run. For that reason, this hourly service doesn’t go out to far destinations such as Naples, Orlando, or West Palm Beach. For a Patti Smith evening that isn’t an issue. PortMiami, downtown dinner spots, the performing arts district, and the hotels and homes guests go back to afterward are all well within the area the chauffeur knows top.
Yes. Miami Beach is well within the local area, so a nightcap on South Beach or a drop-off at a beachside hotel fits easily into the block. The chauffeur crosses the MacArthur Causeway from downtown and the car stays with your group until the last stop, so the evening can wind down at whatever pace you like.
Reserving one premium service by the hour is a different thing from opening an app every time you move. You hold a single vehicle and a single bilingual chauffeur for the whole block, the price is fixed before you start, and the car simply waits while you eat, shop, or take photos — no re-requesting, no surge, no stranger learning where you are headed each time.
| By the hour with us | App rides (Uber / Lyft) |
|---|---|
| One flat hourly rate, locked before you start | A fresh fare every ride, surging 1.5×–4× at peak |
| The same vehicle and driver stay with you all day | A different car and a stranger at every pickup |
| Your driver waits between each stop — nothing to re-book | Re-request and wait at the curb after each stop |
| A vetted, professional bilingual chauffeur | Whoever happens to accept the ping |
Across a full day of stops, one reserved chauffeur usually lands below a string of Uber Black or Lyft Lux surges — and it stays a calmer, more premium service from the first pickup to the last drop-off.

Hassle-free. first impressions of Miami were good thanks to this.
