Leaving the Ship at Port of Miami 🧭

Walk off, clear the terminal, and the private vehicle is already outside. Bags in, and the car heads out of the port.

Sanibel Beach Club on the Gulf Coast 🗺️

Sanibel Beach Club sits out on the southwest side of the state, where Sanibel and Captiva curve into the Gulf like something a shell collector dreams up. This is the far quieter edge of Florida — a low, green pair of barrier islands built around slow days, salt air, and a shoreline that seems to hand you something new every time the tide moves.

The pull here is the water and everything wrapped around it. The beaches are known up and down the coast for their shelling, and unhurried mornings on the sand are half the reason people create the journey. Behind the dunes, the ‘Ding’ Darling wildlife refuge protects a stretch of mangrove and tidal flats where herons, roseate spoonbills, and other birds work the shallows. Bike paths thread the islands, so once you have settled in you can leave the vehicle behind and cover most of the ground on two wheels.

Sanibel Beach Club is your home base for all of it — the address the driver aims for straight off the ship. Because these islands are a long, deliberate run from the cruise port rather than a swift hop, arriving with your own vehicle and driver means you step out rested and ready for the beach instead of frayed. The club’s own details — amenities, luggage holds, early check-in — live on its official page; our part is getting your group and your bags to that door in one clean leg.

How the Ride to Sanibel Beach Club Runs 🕒

The journey is a single, direct leg from your ship to Sanibel Beach Club — no parking lots, no transfers, no shared stops. After you disembark, your driver meets you curbside at your own terminal, loads every bag at the curb, and heads west. The vehicle is yours alone for the whole run, with your luggage stowed and your own climate zone, so a long crossing of the state feels like room to stretch rather than a scramble.

Plan on roughly 164 miles and about 173 to 183 minutes terminal to door, mostly along I-595, with traffic the one real variable. That is exactly why the pickup follows your ship’s actual arrival with time to spare instead of a slot cut to the minute — customs lines never cost you the ride. Tell us the ship and the date, and the driver is staged for the morning off-boarding and organized by message as you walk out.

Our group came off the ship together and arranged one private van from the cruise terminal to Sanibel Beach Club. Honestly the most stress-free part of the whole trip — everything just fell into place at the terminal.
