Meeting Point at the Cruise Terminal 🚢

Disembarkation at Port of Miami is easier with a driver already outside the terminal. The greeting at the curb is part of the price, the Meet & Greet at the terminal adds $40, and the vehicle is yours alone from the port to the destination, luggage included.

Your Landing Spot on Estero Island 🗺️

Mango Street Inn sits on Estero Island in Fort Myers Beach, a barefoot stretch of the Gulf coast where broad sand does most of the talking. This is a small island address rather than a large-city hotel, the kind of place people select when the whole point of the trip is the shoreline itself. After days at sea, arriving somewhere this low-key and this close to the water tends to reset the pace almost the moment you step out of the vehicle.

The best part is how near the sand really is. Staying at Mango Street Inn puts the shoreline within a few steps, and plenty of guests trade the ship’s pool for real sand the same afternoon they disembark. Estero Island keeps things unhurried and shoeless, so you can drop your bags, walk out, and be standing on open beach in minutes. The passes at either end of the island are known for dolphins, which makes the water worth watching as much as wading into.

There is more within simple reach when you want it. The Times Square pier district anchors the island’s walkable core, with the fishing pier and the blocks around it a short trip away. Nature runs close too: Lovers Key State Park and Matanzas Pass sit neighboring in Fort Myers Beach for anyone who wants trails, quieter water, or a longer look at the local wildlife. Settle in or discover, and either way the island stays the center of it.

The Drive from the Port to Mango Street Inn 🕒

Your driver meets your group right at the ship’s own terminal after disembarkation, organized by message as you clear the hall so the vehicle is waiting at the curb rather than in a distant lot. The bags go straight into the vehicle, and from there it is one direct leg to Mango Street Inn, with no transfers and no other stops along the way.

From the Port of Miami, the run to Mango Street Inn covers about 147.7 miles and takes roughly 164 to 174 minutes via I-595, depending on the hour. It is a long enough drive that having your own vehicle changes the day: you set the departure time, the pace, and your one stop of up to 30 minutes. The chauffeur handles the road while you unwind from the cruise.

First time cruising on my own out of PortMiami, and having a private car there the second I walked out for the trip to Mango Street Inn made it painless. I went from the ship to the front desk of Mango Street Inn with zero hassle along the way. Getting off the ship on my own, I felt totally comfortable from the terminal all the way to the door of Mango Street Inn.

Right on schedule, professional, and the driver knew the terminal perfectly. There was a sign with our name at the terminal doors, so we knew right where to go.

Getting a big group off the ship and over to Mango Street Inn is usually a headache, but one pre-booked private van took the stress right out of it. Honestly the easiest part of the whole trip — ship to hotel door with zero stress. The fare was fixed when we booked, nothing added at the curb.

The two of us sailed out of PortMiami and having a private car waiting curbside for the ride over to Mango Street Inn made the morning easy. No line to stand in — we just went straight from the curb into the car.
