Where Your Driver Waits at PortMiami 🚢

On disembarkation morning the driver plans around the ship’s arrival and waits at the curb outside your terminal at PortMiami. The curbside greeting at the terminal is included; the Meet & Greet at the terminal, your driver holding a name sign, is available for $40. Luggage goes straight from the terminal into the vehicle and the ride leaves private and direct.

Design Hotels, in Miami’s Creative Core 🗺️

Design Hotels is a stay built for travelers who care how a room looks and feels, set close to Miami’s creative heart. It sits within simple reach of the Miami Design District and Midtown Miami, two neighborhoods where architecture, galleries, and dining share the same few blocks. Arriving straight from the ship, you trade the terminal crowd for a part of the city that rewards wandering on foot.

The region around the hotel leans arts-first. The Rubell Museum and NW 2nd Avenue sit neighboring in Wynwood and Midtown, so a morning can start with contemporary art and end at a food hall without a long journey. The Wynwood Walls anchor the outdoor murals a few minutes away, and indie galleries fill the streets between them. When the plan turns to shopping, the Design District’s storefronts are close at hand.

Design Hotels works well as a base for a longer Miami stay or a single night between sailings. You can drop your bags, step out into the Design District’s cafes and studios, and let the neighborhood set the pace. If a gap opens between disembarkation and check-in, the same creative core — murals, museums, and Midtown dining — is right there to fill it. For travelers who desire a stay with a point of view rather than a generic block near the water, this corner of Miami fits, and your driver brings you to the door so the move from pier to room stays simple.

How the Ride to Design Hotels Goes 🕒

The ride is door-to-door: your chauffeur meets you curbside at the Port of Miami terminal, not out in a parking lot, and takes your bags before you reach the vehicle. From there it is one clean run to Design Hotels with no stops along the way. Plan on roughly 15 to 17 minutes terminal to door, depending on the hour and the traffic on a turnaround morning.

Disembarkation mornings back up speedy at the terminal exits, so your driver is staged and waiting before you clear the hall — the wait is theirs, not yours. Your luggage rides with you the whole way, and the vehicle is yours alone, so there are no added pickups between the pier and the hotel. When you pull up at Design Hotels, the driver helps with the bags again at the door, and the cruise-day scramble is behind you.

Stepping off the ship solo, the last thing I wanted was to drag my bags around looking for a ride at the port, so I had a private car waiting for the run to Design Hotels.
