Meeting Point at the Cruise Terminal 🚢

Disembarkation at Port of Miami is easier with a driver already outside the terminal. The greeting at the curb is part of the price, the Meet & Greet at the terminal adds $40, and the vehicle is yours alone from the port to the destination, luggage included.

Arriving at Bonaventure Resort & Spa in West Broward 🗺️

Bonaventure Resort & Spa sits in the western suburbs of Broward County, out where family communities spread toward the edge of the Everglades. It is the kind of address that feels a world away from the cruise terminals you just left, even though a single ride connects the two. The property anchors a quiet corner of West Broward, framed by I-75 and the levee that marks the start of the wetlands, so the surroundings lean green and low-rise rather than busy and coastal.

Step out of the vehicle and the resort reads as a self-contained stay: a place to settle in, spread out, and slow down after a week at sea. The neighborhood around it is residential and easy to move through, with broad roads built for the suburbs rather than for downtown traffic. Because the resort sits in this pocket of the county, the streets nearby stay peaceful, and the drop-off happens right at the entrance rather than at the end of a long approach through congestion.

What makes the location genuinely useful is what surrounds it. Sawgrass Mills and its outlet halls are within easy reach, so a shopping afternoon never means a main expedition. Flamingo Gardens is close by for a slower, greener outing, and the Everglades levee along Interstate 75 puts broad open landscape minutes from your door. Whether you are here to rest, to shop, or to add a few days of West Broward exploring around your cruise, the resort makes a practical base with the western suburbs opening up in every direction.

How the Ride from the Port Goes 🕒

The journey runs directly from your ship’s own terminal on Dodge Island to the entrance of Bonaventure Resort & Spa, covering roughly 34.4 miles by way of Florida’s Turnpike and I-95. Plan on about 51 to 68 minutes door to door, depending on traffic and the hour you disembark. Your driver is staged and waiting when you walk off, timed to your actual arrival rather than a fixed clock, so the customs line never costs you the ride within the free waiting time.

Once you reach the curb, bags go straight into the vehicle with full luggage help at both ends, and the group travels together with no shared seats and no added stops. Fuel and typical tolls are already inside the flat fare, so there is nothing to settle along the road. It is one clean run: clear the terminal, load up, and ride straight to the resort entrance in West Broward.

Viaje cómodo, recogida fácil, y un conductor que sabía exactamente a dónde ir. Lo reservaría de nuevo. Tenía los datos del conductor con anticipación, así que no quedaba de qué preocuparse en la terminal.

There were six of us stepping off at PortMiami, and one private transfer to Bonaventure Resort & Spa was the smart move.

We reserved one van for the whole group from the terminal to Bonaventure Resort & Spa so we all checked in together. The fare was fixed when we booked, nothing added at the curb.
