The Cruise Terminal Pickup 🎫
Book with the ship’s name and the date, and the driver handles the rest at PortMiami: waiting at the correct terminal, helping with the suitcases, and leaving the port without a queue. The curbside greeting costs nothing extra; the Meet & Greet at the terminal with a name sign adds $40.
The Link Hotel, in the Heart of South Beach 🧭
The Link Hotel sits in South Beach, the walkable strip of Miami that draws cruisers before and after a sailing. It works as a peaceful base close to the water, with the neighborhood’s shops, cafes, and sidewalks a short stroll from the door. If you are stepping off a ship with a night or two to spend, this puts you where the action is without the sprawl of a bigger district.
The setting is what makes the address. Lincoln Road Mall, the open-air shopping promenade, is close by, and so is the Art Deco Historic District with its pastel facades and 1930s lines. Española Way, the small pedestrian lane of restaurants and courtyards, is a few minutes away, and the New World Center rounds out the cluster of landmarks that offer South Beach its character. Everything sits within a simple walk once you have dropped your bags.
On arrival you locate yourself in one of Miami’s most familiar quarters, the kind of place where Ocean Drive people-watching, Art Deco hotels, and Lincoln Road shopping all sit within a short causeway hop from the ship. Numerous travelers book The Link Hotel for the night before they sail, or as a soft landing once they are back ashore. Anything about the stay itself lives with the hotel; getting you here from the terminal, with your luggage handled, is our part of the journey. Whichever way your dates fall, the arrival is the same: a private vehicle to the door and a driver who knows the port.
Your Ride from the Port to The Link Hotel 🕒
The ride is a single private leg from your ship to the hotel door. Your chauffeur tracks your terminal, meets your group after disembarkation, and loads the bags at the curb, so there is no line to join and no vehicle to share. From the port the route runs across the causeway toward South Beach, a direct run of about 18 to 20 minutes depending on the hour and the traffic.
Because the pickup follows your ship’s actual arrival rather than a fixed slot, there is room to spare if disembarkation runs slow. Your luggage stays with you in the vehicle the whole way, and the same driver takes you straight to The Link Hotel with no added stops. Book the reverse leg for embarkation day and the pickup is planned the same way, timed around your sailing.

The kids were running on empty when we walked off, and a private van already at the curb got everyone to The Link Hotel in one piece. The kids crashed in the car, and getting straight to The Link Hotel without a scramble at the port was perfect. The driver loaded all our cruise luggage so we didn’t have to juggle it all. Would book again for the next cruise.

My partner and I wanted a clean handoff outside the terminal, so we booked a private ride to The Link Hotel before we even sailed. The car was roomy enough for all the cruise luggage, and the AC was perfect after the ship. The night before, we got a text with the driver’s name and license plate, so there was nothing to figure out on the way out.
