About Vistalmar Beach Resort in Pompano & Deerfield Beach 🧭

Vistalmar Beach Resort sits along the low-key stretch of coast in Pompano & Deerfield Beach, just north of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. This is a quieter side of the shoreline, where Pompano keeps its old fishing-village character and Deerfield holds onto its Blue Wave beach. After days at sea, it is an easy place to land — the pace here is peaceful, and the ocean is the whole point.

Staying at the resort puts the shoreline just steps away, so the sand is close enough that plenty of guests trade the ship’s pool for the real thing the same afternoon they disembark. The setting leans toward relaxed beach days rather than a packed itinerary, which suits travelers who want to slow down the moment they step out of the vehicle. For rooms, parking, check-in times, and any property-specific questions, the resort’s own official page is the reliable source — we handle the ride, and they handle the stay.

There is plenty within easy reach once you have settled in. The Pompano Beach Fishing Pier and the Deerfield Beach Pier both sit close to the resort, and the Pompano Beach Amphitheater and Quiet Waters Park round out the options nearby in Pompano & Deerfield Beach. It is a compact, walkable pocket of the coast, so you can spend a first day wandering the piers or the beach without needing to plan much at all. That mix of shoreline and small local landmarks is what keeps this part of the coast feeling personal rather than crowded.

Your Ride from Port of Miami to Vistalmar Beach Resort 🕒

The trip runs as a single, direct leg. Your chauffeur meets your group curbside at your own terminal on Dodge Island, organized by message as you come out of the hall, then loads the bags right at the terminal curb — no dragging luggage across a parking lot. From there it is I-95 north to Vistalmar Beach Resort, roughly 43.5 miles covered as one clean run rather than a series of stops.

Plan on about 67 to 82 minutes between Port of Miami and the resort, depending on the hour, since traffic on I-95 is the only real variable. That is exactly why the pickup is timed to your ship’s actual arrival with room to spare, not cut to a rigid slot. Your booking includes 60 minutes of complimentary wait at the terminal, so the pace of customs never costs you the ride within that time. The vehicle is yours alone for the whole trip, from the first message to the door at Vistalmar Beach Resort.

After our cruise, my husband and I didn’t feel like chasing a ride at the terminal, so we arranged a private car to Vistalmar Beach Resort. The night before, we got a message with the driver’s name and plate number, so there was no guessing at the curb on the way out. The fare was locked in at booking, no surprise on a busy disembarkation morning.

El desembarque más tranquilo que hemos tenido — conductor en la acera, maletas resueltas, directo a la puerta de Vistalmar Beach Resort. Sin filas que hacer — caminamos de la terminal a un auto que ya estaba ahí.

My husband and I walked off the ship at PortMiami and a private car was waiting at the terminal curb to take us to Vistalmar Beach Resort. We were dropped straight at the door of Vistalmar Beach Resort, not across the street. There was a board with our name on it at the exit, so we spotted the driver immediately.

As a solo cruiser I pre-booked a private transfer from the terminal to Vistalmar Beach Resort for the morning I got off, and it took all the guesswork out of it. For a stress-free way to get from the ship to Vistalmar Beach Resort, it was money well spent.

My wife and I didn’t want the taxi scramble outside the terminal, so we reserved a private ride to Vistalmar Beach Resort before we even sailed. No lot to comb through — we just went straight from the curb into the car. We knew the plan before the ship even docked, so there was no guessing at the port.
