Where Your Driver Waits at PortMiami 🚢

On disembarkation morning the driver plans around the ship’s arrival and waits at the curb outside your terminal at PortMiami. The curbside greeting at the terminal is included; the Meet & Greet at the terminal, your driver holding a name sign, is available for $40. Luggage goes straight from the terminal into the vehicle and the ride leaves private and direct.

Where Village Resort Sits in West Broward 🗺️

Village Resort belongs to the western reach of Broward County, where Miami’s built-up edge gives way to family communities laid out around Interstate 75. It is roughly 34 miles from the cruise terminals at the Port of Miami, on the inland side of the metro rather than along the coast. The setting is suburban and open, the kind of place travelers pick when they desire space and quiet within simple reach of the highway.

What sits close by tells you the character of the region. Sawgrass Mills, with its long outlet halls, is only minutes away, so an afternoon of shopping is a short hop once you have settled in. Hard Rock Stadium and Flamingo Gardens are near enough to fold into a stay, and the western suburbs keep stretching out toward the Everglades, where the levee and Interstate 75 mark the last line before open wetland. It is a corner of the region that rewards a car and a little time.

For a group arriving off a ship, that inland position is the reason a direct, private ride matters. You step off the cruise, clear the terminal, and instead of drifting through the port with your bags you head straight out on one leg to Village Resort. The chauffeur handles the luggage at the curb and knows the run, so the shift from the water’s edge to the quieter western neighborhoods happens as a single, planned journey rather than a scramble of connections.

The Drive from the Port to Village Resort 🕒

The route runs about 34.2 miles from the terminal curb to the door at Village Resort, and it commonly takes 50 to 67 minutes depending on the hour. Your chauffeur takes Florida’s Turnpike and I-95, so the whole distance stays a single, direct leg with no transfers along the way. Traffic on those roads is the one thing that moves the clock, which is why the pickup is built around your ship’s actual arrival with room to spare instead of a slot cut to the minute.

On the day, the driver is already staged at the exact terminal your cruise line uses. Bags go into the vehicle at the curb and stay with you the whole ride, and the car is yours alone from the port straight through to Village Resort. You walk off the ship, meet your chauffeur, and settle in for one direct journey out to West Broward.

We came off the ship tired but happy and a driver already waiting to take us to Village Resort set the tone for the rest of the trip. The SUV was spotless, and the AC was perfect after the ship. For a stress-free way to get from the ship to Village Resort, it was well worth it. Would book again for the next cruise.

With the little ones, pre-booking a private car from the port to Village Resort meant no scramble on disembarkation morning. There was a name sign at the curb, so we spotted the driver immediately.

So glad we pre-booked — clean car, great driver, no scramble at the port, right to the door. There was a courtesy waiting window from the agreed time, so we never had to rush through customs.
