Leaving the Ship at Port of Miami 🧭

Walk off, clear the terminal, and the private vehicle is already outside. The driver knows which terminal the ship uses and times the pickup to the real disembarkation, with the curbside greeting included in the fare and the Meet & Greet at the terminal available for $40 if you desire it. Bags in, and the car heads out of the port.

The Vanderbilt Beach Resort, on the Gulf in Naples 🧭

The Vanderbilt Beach Resort sits at 9225 Gulfshore Drive North in Naples, out on the quiet stretch of coast where the Gulf does the talking. This is the far southwest corner of Florida, a long way in feeling from the cruise piers you just left, and the reward for the drive is a calmer, slower kind of shoreline. You reach to salt air, low buildings, and the open water a short walk away.

Naples has a way of refining the Gulf coast, and the resort puts you close to the top of it. Once you have settled in, Vanderbilt Beach itself is the natural first stop, with the sand and the sunset within simple reach. Just up the road, Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park gives you protected beach, dune, and pass without the crowds, and the Naples Botanical Garden makes a simple afternoon when you desire shade and something green.

Head into town and the character sharpens. The historic Naples Pier is the classic sunset walk, while Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South hold the white-tablecloth blocks, the galleries, and the strolling that offer the city its name. And because this is the edge of Florida, the Everglades sit at the back door when you feel like trading the beach for something wilder. Guests here frequently fold a few of these into their first day ashore, then let the resort handle the rest.

How the Ride to The Vanderbilt Beach Resort Goes 🕒

After you disembark at the Port of Miami, your chauffeur is already staged at the terminal, timed to your ship’s actual arrival rather than a slot cut to the minute. You are met curbside, not sent to hunt for a parking lot, and every bag is handled from the terminal to the vehicle. From there it is one clean run west and north along I-75, your group in a vehicle reserved for you alone, with your luggage riding along and stops only when you ask for them.

Plan on roughly 136 to 146 minutes between the port and the door of The Vanderbilt Beach Resort, depending on the hour and how I-75 is moving. Traffic is really the only variable on this route, which is exactly why the pickup follows your ship with room to spare. You ride straight through to the resort’s address on Gulfshore Drive North, dropped at the door with the whole journey settled in advance.

Everything went to plan from the terminal curb to the front door of The Vanderbilt Beach Resort — exactly as promised. The night before, I got a text with the driver’s name and license plate, so there was nothing to figure out on the way out.

Disembarking alone, I had a driver there with my name on a sign for the ride to The Vanderbilt Beach Resort — nothing left to chance. The driver loaded all my cruise luggage so I didn’t have to struggle with anything. There was a sign with my name at the exit, so I didn’t have to look around. Would book again for the next cruise.
