How the Port Pickup Works 🕒

Tell us the ship and the driver times the pickup to its arrival, then waits at your terminal’s curb at PortMiami. The curbside greeting there is included in the fare; the Meet & Greet at the terminal is a $40 add-on. From the port the ride is direct, with no other passengers.

The Omphoy Ocean Resort, on the Palm Beach Shore 🗺️

The Omphoy Ocean Resort sits out on Palm Beach, the barrier island set across the Intracoastal Waterway from the mainland. It is an oceanfront address, which is the whole point of arriving here after days at sea: you trade the ship’s rail for a stretch of Atlantic that belongs to the island rather than the crowds. The resort faces the water directly, and the peaceful, moneyed quiet of Palm Beach starts the moment the causeway is behind you.

What surrounds the resort is part of what draws cruise guests to book this run in the first place. Worth Avenue and its vaulted shopping arcades are the island’s top-known walk, a short outing from the resort. The Breakers, the grand old landmark on the same shore, sits nearby, and the Lake Trail traces the Intracoastal side for anyone who wants a flat, easy stroll with water on one hand and mansions on the other. Mar-a-Lago is close as well, part of the same Palm Beach map.

Guests who land here often fold those stops into the first day ashore, treating the resort as a base rather than just a room. Palm Beach keeps its character close: the mansions behind their hedges, the arcades off Worth Avenue, the Lake Trail running the length of the island. It is a compact, walkable place once you reach, and The Omphoy Ocean Resort puts you on the ocean edge of all of it, a straight run north from the port and a clean break from the pace of the terminal.

How the Ride to The Omphoy Ocean Resort Goes 🕒

Book before you dock and disembarkation turns simple. Your reserved vehicle meets you at your ship’s own terminal, the chauffeur handles the bags at the curb, and the run heads straight north up I-95 to The Omphoy Ocean Resort with no stops along the way. It is a single, direct leg from the port to the island: one pickup, one drop, the vehicle yours the whole time.

Plan on roughly 88 to 102 minutes terminal to door, depending on traffic and the hour. Saturday and Sunday mornings are the port’s busiest, with thousands of passengers coming off the ships at once, so the pickup is timed to your actual disembarkation and the I-95 traffic is already figured into the plan. Tolls and fuel are built into the flat rate, so nothing is added on the day, and luggage help is part of the service at both ends of the journey.

Traveling with the kids, we booked a private van to meet us at the cruise terminal and take everyone over to The Omphoy Ocean Resort. The night before, we got a text with the driver’s name and plate number, so there was no guessing at the curb on the way out.
