Arriving at Solterra Resort in Davenport 🗺️
Solterra Resort sits in Davenport, out west of the Disney exits along I-4, in the stretch of Central Florida where golf resorts and rental villas spread out and the crowds thin. This is vacation-home country: private residences and short-term rentals set among manicured grounds, close to the parks but a comfortable step removed from the traffic that clusters nearer the gates.
The setting is what draws people here. You get room to breathe, quiet streets, and the theme parks still within easy reach when you want them. For a family stepping off a cruise ship, it is a natural landing spot — a place to spread out, unpack, and settle into the rest of the trip at your own pace rather than checking straight into a busy tourist corridor.
There is plenty nearby if you stay on after the cruise. ChampionsGate and Reunion Resort are close by, both known for their golf. Lake Louisa State Park offers open water and trails when you want the outdoors, and Posner Park handles the practical side with shopping and dining. Together they make the Davenport and Clermont area an easy base — the parks are minutes away, and so is a calmer version of Florida when you need it. Anything about the stay itself, the amenities and the booking of your unit, lives on Solterra Resort’s own page; our part is the ride that gets you there. What you find on arrival is simple: your driver at the curb, your bags in the vehicle, and one direct trip to the door.
How the Ride to Solterra Resort Works 🕒
This is a door-to-door private transfer that begins the moment you clear the terminal. Disembarkation mornings back up fast at the exits, so your chauffeur is staged and waiting before you finish walking out — the wait is theirs, not yours. Bags go straight into the vehicle at the curb, with full luggage help at both ends, and then it is one direct leg out to Davenport. No shuttle line, no dragging suitcases across the port.
From the Port of Miami to Solterra Resort runs roughly 239.4 miles, mostly along Florida’s Turnpike, and the drive usually takes 242 to 257 minutes terminal to door depending on traffic and the hour. The vehicle is yours alone — your group only, no added stops, no strangers. You set the departure and the pace, and your bilingual chauffeur, experienced with the port, handles the rest of the route to the door.

We came off the ship worn out from a great week and a private car straight to Solterra Resort was the right call. We were dropped right at the front door of Solterra Resort, not down the block. It was a private car for our party alone — no side pickups — a relief after a week aboard.

After a week at sea I just wanted a clean handoff, so a private car from the terminal to Solterra Resort made the morning simple.
