The fare is locked per vehicle for the one-way journey, and it already covers the tolls, the fuel and the driver’s time.

The Cruise Terminal Pickup 🎫

Book with the ship’s name and the date, and the driver handles the rest at PortMiami: waiting at the correct terminal, helping with the suitcases, and leaving the port without a queue. The curbside greeting costs nothing extra; the Meet & Greet at the terminal with a name sign adds $40.

Arriving at Resort World near Kissimmee 🗺️

Resort World sits in the Kissimmee region, part of the broad resort corridor that spreads west of I-4’s Disney exits. This is villa-and-golf country — rental homes and resort communities laid out for travelers who desire central Florida’s theme parks close by without the crowds pressing in on the doorstep. Pulling in after a long sailing, you trade the bustle of the port for a stay built around space and quiet.

The parks are the draw, and from here they are only minutes down the road. The surrounding blocks fill with golf resorts and rental villas rather than a crowded tourist strip, so the pace slows the moment you turn off the highway. It is the kind of base families settle into for a week — room to spread out, a pool most mornings, and the large attractions kept a short drive rather than a long one.

Your driver brings you straight to the address you gave when you booked, whether that is a villa, a resort lobby, or a rental home tucked into one of the golf communities. Bags come off at the door, and the handoff is peaceful because the whole journey was planned around your ship’s arrival rather than squeezed between other pickups. From that first evening, the parks, the golf, and the quiet of the Kissimmee resort region are all within simple reach.

The Ride from Port of Miami to Resort World 🕒

The ride runs as one direct leg from the cruise terminal to your door at Resort World, and it normally takes 238 to 246 minutes depending on the hour and the traffic. Your chauffeur meets you at the exact terminal your cruise line uses, loads the luggage at the curb, and stays with the same vehicle the whole way — no transfers, no added stops, just your group in the car.

Weekend mornings are the port’s busiest, when thousands of passengers step off the ships at once, so the pickup is timed to your actual disembarkation rather than a fixed clock. There is free waiting built in while you clear customs, and the drive up Florida’s Turnpike is folded into the plan so the long run north to the Kissimmee region stays a single, unhurried journey.

My wife and I stepped off the ship at PortMiami and a private car was waiting at the terminal curb to take us to Resort World. Getting to Resort World straight from the terminal meant we could drop the bags and start the day. The last thing you want after a week at sea is a ride that falls through, and this was rock solid.
