Meeting Point at the Cruise Terminal 🚢

Where High Point World Resort Sits in Kissimmee 🗺️

High Point World Resort is a vacation stay set in Kissimmee, the spread of resorts and rental communities that runs south of Orlando’s Disney parks. It sits along the corridor of US-192, also called the Irlo Bronson Highway, where hotels, condo complexes, and pool-home neighborhoods line the road for miles. For a group coming off a cruise, it is a real change of pace from the coast — inland central Florida, a base within simple reach of the region’s theme parks and the everyday shops and restaurants that fill the highway.

The setting around the resort is pure Kissimmee. Old Town Kissimmee, the classic strip of shops and rides, sits within simple reach, and the broader stretch of the Irlo Bronson Highway keeps dining and services close at hand. Rooms, parking, and check-in details are top confirmed with the property directly, since those change and the resort’s own page is the dependable source — worth a look before you sail so your arrival plan lines up with your booked room.

Beyond the resort, the Kissimmee area gives a group plenty of room to explore. Lake Tohopekaliga — Lake Toho for short — sits nearby, known for its airboat rides across open marsh water. Gatorland is close as well, a simple outing for families. The mix of quiet pool-home streets and the busier highway corridor means you can keep to the peaceful of the stay or head out for a day of central-Florida attractions, all a short drive from the resort’s front door.

How the Ride to High Point World Resort Goes 🕒

The ride is door-to-door from the start. Your chauffeur is coordinated by message as your group clears the terminal on Dodge Island, meets you at the curb, and loads the luggage into the vehicle so nothing gets dragged across the port. From there it is one direct run to High Point World Resort — no stops, no shuffle between vehicles, your group riding together in a vehicle booked only for you.

From the port the route climbs onto Florida’s Turnpike and holds it most of the way inland, a trip of about 233 miles that generally runs between 232 and 242 minutes depending on traffic. Because the pickup follows your ship’s actual arrival rather than a fixed clock slot, the pace of disembarkation and customs does not cost you the ride, and your driver sets off with the whole group aboard.

Traveling with the kids, we booked a private van to meet us at the cruise terminal and take everyone over to High Point World Resort. There was a board with our name on it at the exit, so we knew right where to go. No app to fight with — we just went straight from the curb into the car. Made getting off the ship so easy.

Everything ran on time from the port to the front door of High Point World Resort — exactly as promised. It was a private car for our party alone — no side pickups — so much nicer than piling in with strangers.

Getting all of us off the ship and over to High Point World Resort is usually a headache, but one pre-booked private van made it effortless. The last thing you want after a week at sea is a ride that falls through, and this was rock solid. Getting to High Point World Resort first thing meant we could settle in without waiting around.
