Where Your Driver Waits at PortMiami 🚢

On disembarkation morning the driver plans around the ship’s arrival and waits at the curb outside your terminal at PortMiami. The curbside greeting at the terminal is included; the Meet & Greet at the terminal, your driver holding a name sign, is available for $40. Luggage goes straight from the terminal into the vehicle and the ride leaves private and direct.

About Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort in Haines City 🗺️

Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort sits in Haines City, well inland in the heart of Central Florida and a long way from the coast and the cruise terminal you are leaving behind. As the name says, it is a resort built around golf and tennis, set across the kind of green, open acreage that this part of the state does well. After days of ship corridors and shared decks, arriving somewhere this quiet and this roomy is a welcome change of pace on its own.

Reaching the property is a genuine cross-state drive rather than a swift hop across town. Our routing data places the resort about 220 road miles from PortMiami, a run of roughly 233 to 247 minutes depending on the hour, mostly along Florida’s Turnpike. That distance is exactly why a private vehicle makes sense here: one reserved car, your own space, and no shuffling of bags between connections on the way inland.

When you reach Grenelefe, your driver pulls up to the property’s own entrance and unloads your luggage at the door, not at some corner nearby. From there the resort takes over, and its front desk handles the hotel side of things, from check-in timing to where your bags wait if your room is not ready yet. All you have to manage is the short walk from the car to the lobby, cruise luggage and all, with the long drive already behind you.

How the Ride from Port of Miami Goes 🕒

Book before you dock and disembarkation stays simple. Your chauffeur is staged at PortMiami before you clear the terminal hall, so the wait is theirs and not yours. Once your group is together, your bags go straight into the vehicle and the car heads out toward Haines City with no stops you did not ask for. You are met curbside at your own terminal, so there is no wandering a parking lot with cruise luggage in tow.

From the terminal curb the route follows Florida’s Turnpike inland, a drive of about 220 miles that usually runs 233 to 247 minutes. It is long enough to appreciate having your own climate, your own space, and a driver who knows the terminals. When you reach, the same hands that loaded your luggage carry it to the resort entrance and set it down beside you at the door.

I didn’t want to gamble on a ride the morning I got off the ship, so I booked a private car from the port to Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort. It was a private car just for me — no side pickups — exactly right for the morning. I was dropped straight at the door of Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort, not across the street. Made getting off the ship so easy.

Our crew booked one van straight from the port to Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort, and nobody had to think about a thing. There was a name sign at the curb, so we didn’t have to look around. The last thing you want after a week at sea is a ride that falls through, and this was reliable and on time. Would book again for the next cruise.
