From $490 per vehicle, a private one-way ride from MIA to Captiva on Florida’s Gulf coast, flat rate, door to door.
Each fare here is the whole-vehicle total to any Captiva address, fixed the moment you book and unmoved by traffic, the time of day, or how many seats are filled.
Your driver is at the curb as you come out of the terminal, so there is no app to open and no rideshare lot to hunt through. Your flight is followed in real time, which means an early landing or a long delay just moves the pickup with no extra charge; a courtesy wait runs about two hours for international arrivals and one hour for domestic ones. The night before travel, a text carries the driver’s name, the car, and its plate, along with the exact spot to walk out to. A curbside meet is part of every booking. If you would rather be met inside the terminal by a driver holding a printed sign with your name, that add-on is $20.
A narrow strip of sand off Florida’s southwest coast, Captiva sits at the top of a chain of Gulf barrier islands, linked to Sanibel just below it, with the Fort Myers mainland farther east. Nothing here rises above the palm line; instead there are quiet lanes under the trees, a couple of small marinas, low-key seafood spots, and evenings that end with the sun dropping over the water. The place is known above all for two things — unhurried beaches and shelling rich enough to draw collectors from around Florida. Days run slow: swimming, drifting through the still backwaters, long stretches on the sand, and the shell hunt that brings many visitors in the first place. Two resorts that have stood here for generations — Tween Waters and the South Seas community — sit among the marinas and beaches and hold most of the local lodging.
The trip covers 172.2 miles, roughly 277.1 kilometers, and takes about 188 minutes when the roads are clear, stretching toward 196 at busier hours. Most of the distance follows Interstate 75 north and west toward the Gulf coast before the road crosses over to the barrier islands. Early departures move quickest; the extra minutes pile up in the congestion around the metro edges through midday and late afternoon. Since the drive sits close to the three-hour mark, it is worth leaving a cushion around any onward plans, and a brief stop partway — a restroom or a quick snack — is easy to fold into a drive this long. The driver holds a steady, unrushed pace the whole way, and traffic, weather, or a slow stretch of I-75 never moves the flat rate you locked at booking.
Reserving takes a 50% deposit through Venmo, Zelle, or a secure link over WhatsApp or the website, and the other half goes straight to the driver on travel day. The price is per vehicle rather than per head, so the whole group rides for the single figure listed above. Fares are quoted one way — a round trip is simply that one-way figure doubled, held as one reservation so a single driver and a set time cover both legs. Every fare already folds in tolls, fuel, and any SunPass charges, plus onboard WiFi over a mobile hotspot and sealed bottled water, though eating in the vehicle is not permitted. The bilingual driver — English along with Spanish or Portuguese — loads and unloads the bags at both ends, and a tip is always optional and never added to the fare. To lock a booking, send the flight number, pickup date, passenger count, and the Captiva address, and the vehicle and driver details follow by text the day before.
Yes — every booking is private from curb to door. The SUV or van carries only your party, with no strangers added and no detours to collect other riders. What some travelers picture as a shared shuttle is, in practice, a private van held for one group and priced per vehicle; smaller parties ride the black SUV instead. The cabin stays climate-controlled and smoke-free for every group, and from the terminal to the door the vehicle is yours alone.
Daytime runs from 7 AM to 9 PM with no added charge. Outside that window an SUV carries a $20 night fee when the trip stays inside Miami-Dade or Broward, and $50 once it reaches farther out, as a Captiva run does; a van adds 10% over the trip value instead. The amount is flat and known before you book, so nothing new turns up at the curb.
A child seat is $20 each and can be added when you book. Extra stops beyond the direct route run $45 per 30 minutes, arranged ahead of time, and any waiting past the included courtesy window is billed in the same 30-minute blocks. Anything optional is confirmed and priced over WhatsApp before travel day, so the total you agree to is the total you pay.
Small pets can ride along with notice given ahead on WhatsApp, traveling in a carrier so the cabin stays fresh for the next group; larger animals should be cleared first. For luggage, the standard allowance is one checked bag plus a carry-on per passenger, all loaded by the driver. If you are bringing oversized or extra pieces, message ahead and either the space is confirmed or a larger van is set so everything fits.
Ready to lock in your Captiva transfer? Message on WhatsApp at wa.me/17866828748 or call 786-682-8748 with your flight number, pickup date, passenger count, and drop-off address, and the vehicle, driver, and pickup time are set for your trip. A booked pickup can be moved with 24 or more hours notice, and a cancellation made at least a day ahead is fully refunded. Reserving a day or more early makes it easier to hold your preferred pickup time.
Reserving a few days ahead is ideal, and in peak season (holidays, spring break, big cruise weekends) a week or more keeps your first-choice vehicle available. Requests inside 24 hours are welcome but depend on availability, and those bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
We run on reservations rather than on-demand pickups. A same-day request may still work if a driver is free: message us on WhatsApp with the pickup time and we will confirm quickly. Keep in mind that a ride booked within 24 hours of pickup cannot be refunded.
No. A 50% deposit holds the vehicle when you book online, and the other half goes to your driver on the day of the ride, in cash or by card. If you prefer to settle everything at once, choose Pay in full at checkout.
Yes. After the deposit, the remaining half is paid directly to your driver when the ride is done, cash or card, whichever you prefer. There is nothing else to pay unless you added an extra service.
Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the pickup. Inside that 24-hour window the ride is non-refundable, and no-shows are treated the same way. Booking details such as an extra passenger or a child seat can still be updated until 12 hours before pickup.
The pickup time and other details can be adjusted until 12 hours before the ride, subject to driver availability; write to us as soon as your plans change. The travel date itself is fixed once booked, so double-check it before you confirm.
Payments run through Stripe over an encrypted checkout; we never see your card number. Card payments carry a 3% processing fee that is shown before you pay. Zelle is also accepted for the deposit with no fee: ask us on WhatsApp.
Not at all. Travelers reserve from all over the world, international cards are accepted at checkout, and we answer on WhatsApp and email in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Yes. Give us the flight number when you book and your driver tracks it in real time, so the pickup follows the actual landing rather than the scheduled one, at no extra cost.
Message us the moment you know. We reschedule around the new arrival whenever a driver is available; because that counts as a change to the booking, the cancellation terms above still apply if the ride cannot be rebooked.
Your driver meets you at the MIA arrivals level at the curb, and that meet-and-greet is included in the fare. If you would rather be greeted inside the terminal with a name sign, add the name-sign welcome for $20 when you book.
You receive the meeting instructions in advance, and the driver contacts you the day before the ride to confirm every detail. On landing, head to the agreed curb; connect to the airport Wi-Fi and message us on WhatsApp if anything is unclear.
The day before the ride we send the driver’s name and phone number, and the vehicle details you need to spot the car. Vehicle photos on the site show the category booked; the exact model can vary.
Call or WhatsApp us at +1 (786) 682-8748 and we connect you right away. The pickup is always coordinated at the confirmed spot, and the courtesy waiting time keeps running from your landing or your scheduled pickup.
At the airport we wait up to 60 minutes after landing on domestic flights and up to 2 hours on international arrivals; at hotels, homes and the cruise port the courtesy wait is 15 minutes. Beyond that, waiting is billed like an extra stop, $45 per 30 minutes.
The distance and the usual driving time for this exact route are listed on this page. Real timing depends on traffic and the hour, which is why the driver plans the pickup around your actual landing or ship arrival rather than a fixed clock time.
Yes. Your driver loads and unloads every bag at the curb. Drivers do not go inside the hotel or terminal to collect luggage, so have it with you at the meeting point.
Each passenger can bring one large suitcase plus one carry-on. The black SUV carries up to 5 passengers as long as passengers plus large suitcases total 10 or fewer; larger groups or extra bags move to a van. Surfboards, bikes or many extra cases need a custom setup, so tell us before booking.
Yes. Add them when you book: a child seat for babies and toddlers up to about 3 years, or a booster for ages 3 to 5. Each seat is $20 and is fitted before the driver leaves for the pickup.
Planned stops are fine when you add them at booking, priced at $45 per 30 minutes with a 30-minute minimum, then $1.50 per extra minute. Unplanned detours on the day are not part of the fare.
Never. Every transfer is private: the vehicle carries only your group, door to door, with no other pickups and no waiting for strangers.
A black SUV for up to 5 passengers, a van for 6 to 9 and a larger van for 10 to 14. The fare table on this page shows the price for each. For groups above 14 we arrange several vehicles or a minibus on a custom quote.
No. We pick up and drop off at Miami International Airport, PortMiami and the other cruise terminals, hotels, private homes, offices and event venues across South Florida and beyond.
Yes. Wedding parties, corporate groups and private events get a tailored quote with the right mix of vehicles; message us with the date, head count and schedule.
Between 9 PM and 7 AM the black SUV adds a night fee of $20 inside Miami-Dade and Broward and $50 farther out. The fee is shown in the quote before you book, and daytime rides carry no surcharge.
The fare shown is for the exact route named on this page. For a different pickup or drop-off address, use the ride search on this site: it prices the real road distance instantly and lets you book on the spot.
The fare includes the driver, fuel and tolls, with no hidden fees. Only optional items add to it: the 3% card fee, a name-sign welcome, child seats, extra stops or the night fee, each shown in the quote before you pay. Tipping is at your discretion.
Perfect way to start a trip to Captiva — couldn’t recommend it more. They tracked the arrival, so even though we got in late, the car was right there.
We came into Miami and starting the trip with a private pickup straight to our place in Captiva set the tone. No taxi line, no rideshare surge — we walked out and the car was ready.
With kids in tow, pre-booking the airport transfer to Captiva meant no scramble when we landed. The driver was professional and courteous, which made it feel first-class. With the kids tired after the flight, it helped that the driver was patient and had the car seat ready.
I booked a private car from MIA to Captiva so I wouldn’t have to wait around after landing. My flight came in late and the driver was still there waiting — not a worry at all. Fixed price agreed up front — no meter, no surprises, which I really appreciated after traveling.
Our whole group rode together straight from the airport to Captiva, and it was so easy. The driver dropped us right at the door. Booking was simple, we got a confirmation the night before, and everything matched what we were told.
